I would like some detail about how you access the finch Aviary to feed, check nest boxes etc. If through the big door, do you not risk losing one or two?
My zebra finches have had eggs and they have hatched they are now a week old and the nest box is really dirty with their droppings shall I clean the box or not please help me :)

I would leave it until they leave the nest or you could just pull the worst bits out

We have some easibed on the floor and the slabs do a good job of keeping out vermin.
