Loved every bit of yr explanations and yr patience..excellently portrayed n now it motivates me to try all these steps...I'm fortunate to have come across yr video❤
Thanks for asking! I kept the bottom guide at around 10.680. I arrived at this number by deducting 0.32 inches (the top guide that's already added) from 11 inches. So, 11 - 0.32 = 10.68. Visually speaking, if the corner intersections of the top and left (or right), bottom and right (or left) corners create a square, then we know the guides are well added. But I strongly recommend the above method to measure and add guides. Glad you asked! 🫡
at 4:27 where you say guide needs to be .320, I can not get mine to be .320 the closest is .328. I dont know if this matters? how do i get it to be at .320. Thank you.
Hello Ashley, as long as you can obtain a symmetrical view on both top and bottom, and left and right side margins, these specific numbers won't matter much and are subjective to our design dimensions. Having said that, if you really want to achieve it at .320 and are unable to get that, please try zooming in to the canva page more than your default view (say, 300%) and you should be able to get the .320.
Thank you very much for this. Where do we get pictures from ? Can we use the pictures and graphics already in canva or are they copyrighted? Could I go to unsplash for example for pictures and use them as they are not copyrighted? Is it then okay to sell these on Etsy?
You're welcome and thank you so much for your kind words, Sarah! About your question, it's okay to use public domain images but please ensure to customize and modify your images and colours so you can be confident there won't be other similar products that others may have created through the same sources. I'd recommend getting 'commercially' approved materials from sites like Creative fabrica. And if you have Canva, yes that again is a viable option, but please also check the licensing info from Canva on its allowed usage (www.canva.com/en_in/help/licenses-copyright-legal-commercial-use/). Overall, any source you pick, please verify the usage limits thoroughly.
Good point. That's correct in a general situation. And Canva says this though: "All free photos, music and video files on Canva can be used for free for commercial and noncommercial use." We just need to adhere to their guidelines, and not resell or redistribute unaltered copies of photo, or any Canva content as is.

@@techl okay really like ur flashcards very beautiful and stunning 👍🏽, I do wanted to know what type of paper u used to print on it like?? it doesn't look like paper please reply thanks 😊 and also the website u sent for the animals is it free to use??
Hello Melesha, apologies for the delay in replying. We need an Etsy a/c to upload. In my experience, the account creation and setup process was quite stricter and a person from Etsy admin even called me on my phone to enquire / interview about what products I'm trying to sell, how many digital products (that's what I planned to sell back then) do I have ready to start shop, etc. A week later my shop got approved. I recommend creating at least 7-10 digital products in advance and keeping them ready and then apply for the Etsy shop. Of course, it depends on which country you are trying to do this in and your experience might differ. Worst case, I had Gumroad as an alternative option if Etsy didn't allow me in, but am glad I got in. Still a long way to go and I did the mistake of not having more products, still creating them (unable to find time). I do have plans though to create more in the coming days to sell on Etsy. This video showed my first try and it worked like a charm, so I shared it on my channel. Please keep me posted on how your creations go! All the best with this journey! :)

What is the measurment of the guide at the bottom of the page?

Please which website did you download the animal pictures for the design?
Hi, you can try "Creative Fabrica" for designs. I found beautiful ready-to-use designs there. techlibrary.tv/creativefabrica (affiliate link)

How do you get the shop to sell on Etsy?
We'll have to create an account on Etsy so we can sell on Etsy.
But u can still get in legal trouble for using an image that's not urs even if u edit it.

Thank you! Those animal graphics are from vectorgrove.com. (I have an account there)

Thank you. I'd use the blank white cardstock - typical for index or flash cards to print these. The website is not free, we need a subscription.
How to you create this video for you tube - do you use a stream program ?
Hi, @TheChessEducator, I use a screen recording software called Camtasia to capture, edit, and then publish to UA-cam.
