Hi Kitty, I love your energy and your creations, suffice to say that you are a source of inspiration, and not just for baking! During my training, all the professionals discouraged me from launching into this profession (and my state of health does not allow me to keep up the pace), I will graduate next June, and if I do not work as a baker, I will use this experience to create a food truck, with board games to offer to customers, local products. Thank you for all these incredible videos, you make us smile and want to roll up our sleeves, in addition to eating bread!
Agreed. Everyone “kneads” to learn the joy of baking! I only got the dough “hook” in me a few years ago. Now I grind my own flour, and wood fire my own pizza. Absolutely spot on. My daughter has a very rare condition and over the last few months we’ve spent our weekends cooking our evening meals. I started this with her to try and teach her more life skills. We love cooking together and she’s really enthusiastic about it. Watching your videos has given me a real desire to bake bread with her, which will be my first time as well as hers. Thank you for sharing.
Dear kitty, I read about you at my library’s book club. Everyone baked a piece of bread and I wondered if I could do it too. I was 16 and had been struggling with depression so badly I couldn’t even wear long sleeves anymore. I started baking and something inside me changed so quickly . Nothing had made me feel like baking had! I am now 18 and in the first stages of my bread delivery service and I wouldn’t have it any other way… o dropped out of school at 15 but I will be graduating soon.

I've only just come across your YT page and think it is wonderful to see so much enthusiasm to bread making . I started making yeasted bread at the begging of this year as I had to give up playing guitar. but my sour dough bread is a disaster. my starter is really active but the bead is rubbish.

Such a good question, I’m actually posting a vid on it tomorrow! Dad is back teaching and I run the bakery solo, but he’s still my best friend and I’ll always be so grateful for his help setting up the bakery 💗
That would be my dream. I love baking and I live in a small village that has no bakery. Every now and then I dream of opening up my own little one (I am working in Tech normally). But then I remember that I live in Germany and here we have something called „Meisterzwang“. That basically means that you can only run your own Balery (applies to a lot of other businesses too), if you ran through a ~6 year long training (first job training, then mastership). That is some leftover from the middle ages I guess and everything I think about it, it makes me very sad :(

You are truly an inspiration for so many young people who live with anxiety and struggle everyday with what is expected of them. I have recently become a home sourdough baker and every loaf makes me happy, I like to listen to an Australian band called Pacific Avenue when I bake, their music cheers me up and helps me get my groove on 😊

That would be my dream. I love baking and I live in a small village that has no bakery. Every now and then I dream of opening up my own little one (I am working in Tech normally). But then I remember that I live in Germany and here we have something called „Meisterzwang“. That basically means that you can only run your own Balery (applies to a lot of other businesses too), if you ran through a ~6 year long training (first job training, then mastership). That is some leftover from the middle ages I guess and everything I think about it, it makes me very sad :(

You could try songs from their early years such as "Restless Natives" or "In a Big Country". These songs might give the urge to close shop and head for the hills but judging by your sparkling enthusiasm, I suppose you would be safe.
