We'd race home from elementary school to catch it....I'd say around 4pm. This was way over and beyond AMERICAN BANDSTAND. Yeah it was lip synched but so what? We got to see what these bands looked like which was more important. There were just too many bands all hitting at the same time. In '68, Dick Clark shut down WHERE THE ACTION IS in favor of a show built around Paul Revere and the Raiders called HAPPENIN '68, which aired on Saturday pm after AMERICAN BANDSTAND.
