I finally passed my DAT exam after all the stress.I thank God for the great opportunity and my tutor Thomas 🎊🎊🎉🎉 All my prayers to those struggling to pass through DAT cause it hasn't been easy.I hope y'all make it some day too Amen🙏
Thank you for being so upfront and open. I was in fact overwhelmed by all the study material everyone was throwing at me, but you really helped me narrow it down!
Thank you for this, I am trying to narrow down what I would like to use to study for the DAT. Im scared to purchase a subscription like DAT bootcamp since your only allowed a certain amount of days for acess. I'm interested in the DAT and MATH destroyer books.
It really depends on what your schedule is like! Are you taking classes while you'll be studying for the DAT, or can you pretty much spend 4-6 hours each day studying?
@@heatherplatt7988 You could look into DAT booster. It's still expensive, but almost half the cost of DAT bootcamp. I've heard great things about it and lots of students seem to be doing well using it. I'd say even though it's still subscription based, it can help push you and keep you focused on being prepared. Have you signed up to take the DAT yet?
@@connorhenderson5396 I will take a look! I get nervous about the work load while trying to study. I have also looked at DAT destroyer. I have not yet signed up to take the DAT.
I get that! DAT destroyer is really good, from when I took it DAT bootcamp incorporated DAT destroyer and math destroyer, but I'm not sure if that has changed at all. Are you applying this year or next year?
When did you take it? They may have changed the price since I took it in 2018. And after doing a more thorough search it looks like the cost is $495 in 2021 according to the ADA website. Thanks for clearing that up!
@@pabritova it’s a lot! Just study hard and make sure you only have to take it once! You’ve got this. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.
@@connorhenderson5396 this is actually my second time, I scored 17 last year 😭, QR absolutely crushed me, but I feel better this time! Thank you for your videos!
I worked at the law school of the university I attended. It was a great job and allowed me to study at work as long as I wasn’t neglecting any work tasks or responsibilities.
Great information! I’m coaching a high school student who is interested in dental school. Do you have any recommendations for high school students who are interested in dental school?
I would say at that point just shadowing to gain exposure to the field. You could also have them reach out to me if they have any specific questions they’re looking to have answered.
@@connorhenderson5396 thanks. As far as preparing for college. I was a science major in college. Do you think that it’s critical to be a science major? My personal experience is that while you don’t have to be a science major to get into dental school (you can take the science pre-requisites, do well on the DAT and still be accepted] it sure helps to have exposure to gross anatomy, micro anatomy (histology), physiology, biochemistry, etc. for those first 2 years of DS. Your thoughts?
@@Orthodadday No, you don't need to be a science major (I've actually made a video about this topic), although being one makes it a little easier to take the pre-reqs and not juggle a bunch of other classes that are required for your major. That being said, I'd encourage them to pick a major they are interested in and can do well in since GPA is an important part of your application to dental school.

I failed 3 times, i lost money to reviews that never helped but the major thing is that I've not lost hope
i'm sorry for your plight my friend but i was once in your shoes before i was recommended to Mr Thomas and thats how i passed DAT
I had interest in working with him but I was discouraged by my friends out of ignorance 😔
Sometimes hard work doesn’t pay you have to back it up with smartness🤓, I think your cousin understood that perfectly
Please does anyone know who this Mr Thomas is? I really need to speak with him I’m frustrated.
Hey Connor, I watched this video months again to try. to mimic the materials you used. I received a 22 on the DAT as well. Thank you for this video!

You’re welcome! There’s a lot out there which can be very overwhelming so I thought I’d try to help others by sharing what worked for me.
