I belonged to a cult 25 yrs ago for 5 yrs & some friends said the followers were weak-willed, weak-minded, yet couldn’t see how their passionate defense of certain celebrity preachers was the same thing.
Alistair Begg 🤦♀️ very disturbing. I had never seen or heard of the clip of Billy Graham until i came your channel. Physically, my jaw dropped!! I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that he could get something so substantially wrong.
@Pastor_Grant So thankful for you providing consistent and stedfast truth, without compromise. Keep Calling em out !! People are biblically illiterate and need this.
The closer we get to the Day of the Lord, the more of these preachers show their true colors. I was deeply disturbed by Allister Begg's declaration. The latest with Steve Lawson, will we hear John MacArthur's name before long? I just shake my head at them. Not sure what part of, "for we bear a greater condemnation" they don't understand. Thank you for your faithfulness to the Word, you are a light in a dark place.
As a very young Christian in the 1970s, I was encouraged by an older Believer to always compare what a pastor says with the Word of God. Back then, Billy Graham was universally respected yet I decided in my heart that even if he said something that did not line up with Scripture, I was going to adhere to the Bible. I plead with all younger Christians, please do as I did! It will be much harder for Satan to trip you up.
I've been watching, so i subscribe. You sound a lot like a normal down to earth Christian, which is hard to find. I like macarthur, but I'm not a calvinist, there is no perfect men, and too many are wolves these days.
Very sound teaching. A lot of Christians are really lost. They don't read the bible and ask the Holy Spirit to teach them. No discernment. When you try to teach or correct, they will come after you. The days are so scary among Christians. Majority of us are lost and are just contracted Christians just after what we want. May the Lord have mercy
I absolutely believe that pastor worship exists and that it is a form of spiritual laziness on the part of those who engage in this practice. It’s SO MUCH EASIER to just believe and accept and follow/obey everything that a pastor teaches from the pulpit versus going to God’s Word for yourself to look it up in its proper context and research it on your own, pray about it, meditate on it…. A good pastor will strongly encourage/admonish his congregation to do this very thing and to NOT just “take him at his word”, but to go and search out the scripture for yourself!
Well done! Daystar has hosted and endorsed countless false teachers who unashamedly teach false doctrine, so why would anyone who is a true follower of Christ choose to appear on their platform .
Totally agree with you, I ws reading a Billy Graham book when I decided to come back to the Lord, so when I heard him on Larry King etc, I ws sad and blamed it on "old age"
Great discussion; Pastor worship is real and Pastoral abuse is real. The reason that people worship pastors is because most people have never read the Bible for themselves so they are easily deceived. Unfortunately, I have meet Pastors who have never read the whole Bible, some have only read parts of the New Testament, the minimal amount just to come up with a sermon. How true, many Pastors think they are "above the fray" and their followers thinks so too. Catholics really do worship the Pope, the Parish Priests and the Virgin Mary.
Seeing Billy's Crusades on TV in the late '60's really impressed me, as I had only known Roman Catholicism where Saints and men of the church were lifted higher than Jesus Christ and Scripture. Years later, I found out what he really did at the crusades; he was basically a hireling for all the denominations and religions who arranged the meetings and paid his fee and all expenses. In turn, at the huge altar call, his people made sure the Roman Catholics were taken to RC priests, Jews were taken to rabbis, Methodists to their clergy, etc and unchurched were spread around. He was the leader in the formation of the joint Vatican, UN and World Council of Churches one world religion (especially bringing several thousands of independent evangelical leaders to Rome) under the antichrist, and so much more. Just as I had to choose Jesus over my parent's RC religion, so I did with Billy. Luke 6:26 KJV *_Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you!_* for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
I believe he was working to help usher in a one world government under the guidance of the papacy. You don't get flown to Rome and play golf with presidents unless you are doing something for the powers that be, those people clearly don't care about the Biblical gospel.
This is a HUGE problem in the church. It deeply saddens me when people believe what a pastor says over the truth of the Word of God. The pastor idols must come down!
My opinion of David Jeremiah went south when he interviewed the producers of The Bible and A.D., Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, on stage in the main sanctuary at Shadow Mountain Community Church. He did not share the true gospel with them, but if memory serves, he gushingly called them a brother and sister in Christ. While he has been solid in the past, this was too much for me.
Wow. It’s like you’re talking to me directly. Thank you for all your videos- but wow this one is exactly what I’ve been going through for the past year. I was actually really good friends with a few of the pastors at my church..like our families spending Christmas together type friendships…friends outside of just the church activities….until I disagreed with some of the things being said. I was chucked out of that circle so fast I didn’t even see it coming. My wife and I were dropped like a used tissue, just like that. We chose to leave the church, would never in a million years thought that would happen…but the church was getting pretty “loose” with its theology, much more focused on the numbers than doctrine. I’ve been struggling since to feel able to really get all the way committed with another church…feels like a very bad divorce. I know we are to be part of a church..it’s just been so tough.
I really appreciate this Pastor… there’s entirely too much celebrity pastors and celebrity ‘worship leaders’ even when they’re using music from heretic churches. I used to really like Ray Comfort but have since seen some error in his method of bringing people to Christ saying they need to only repent and talks much about false converts and proving you’re a Christian (lordship salvation error). We must always test everything by the full counsel of Gods word. Unfortunately too many people lift up these well known pastors and overlook their false teachings
I see that on occasion. Was thinking of the Bereans and Paul. When Paul brought the gospel to them, what the Bereans did with Paul was search out the scriptures. I think we need to be like that. Hear something, go to the Word. lol Just heard that in your video. Guess you could say that you and I agree on this. ♥ edit - I asked the Lord where He wanted me to read today and was led to Isaiah 23. Then I read from there and just read this in Isaiah 29 vs 13 - And the Lord said - Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips glorify me, but their heart is far from me, and they have feared me with the commandment and doctrines of men - I encourage folks to read at least the next two verses as well.
I came to Christ at 20. I grew up in church and faked being a Christian on and off for most of my youth days. I’m now 54 and work with College & Career in our church. I’ve had many pastors that over the years I liked but have lost respect if not totally done away with their books and studies. Names like Francis Chan, Billy Graham, Tony Evans, John MacArthur, R.C. Sproul. Some men I just disagree with on secondary issues but some like Chan have gone totally off the rails. I believe that God has blessed me with discernment and I’m thankful but sometimes it feels like a curse, I know it isn’t but at times when people ask me what I think about a pastor or teacher and if it’s one that I believe is off the rails I have to tell them that and it really seems theses days that there are more of them than it’s ever been. Feel like I’m always telling them to be careful of someone or stay away from them. Very few solid teachers today it seems like.
The Holy Spirit is our teacher. 🕊 He blesses us all w/Discernment, Knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom, & a Revelation of His Holy Word in our hearts. It’s a matter of degrees & if we seek to have them activated at all. I know He’s grown me a lot, since I first believed. And know too, it could have been a lot more, if I applied myself more. In these End of End Daze, we must focus on the Great Commission, before it’s too late. We see the veil coming down over ppl now. They need to know *Jesus is everyone’s Only Hope.* ♥️✝️
@@Pastor_Grant you may disagree with me on this but his dogmatic views on Calvinism. Now don’t hear me wrong I’m not an Arminian nor Calvinist. I disagree with both of them. I’m also not a universalist. Reason I say that is when I say I don’t agree with Calvinism often people will say that I’m a universalist or Arminian. Like John MacArthur, R.C. Has views of Calvinism I don’t see in scripture. Believe they are more secondary. I believe these men are saved I just don’t believe they are right and they seem to be negative toward those that disagree with Calvinism.
I realized the truth about Billy Graham years ago and have taken a very unpopular stance against him several times. People do not like when you speak against this man. They can't see the truth, mostly because their own Pastors talk about him like he is some kind of god himself. It is sad.
Billy Graham once told Larry King: "Throughout my decades of ministry, I have spoken with numerous psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, as well as many gay people. I think there might be something to people being born gay."
Sadly, Billy Graham was very much part of the easy believism/emotionalism/altar calls, etc that was made popular by Billy Sunday and others, and is all too often seen today in Armenian (?sp) churches where total depravity is denied.
Often it's people taking the Bible out of context, "judge not!". I've been most frustrated by this mind set, it's impossible to reason, those with this stubbornness.
Well, you're going to have to use scripture to take that wall down. We're supposed to judge rightly and we're not supposed to judge others for the very same things we do.
My daughter and son in law started going to a church about five years ago. It was the first church they attended since being newly married a few years earlier. My husband and I attended a few services. About the third time we attended they had a special guest “prophet” Charlie Shamp. That’s when I was made aware of a false prophet. Also, the first time we attended the pastor stood up and began to pray. He said something to the effect of if you can pray in tongues let’s all pray in tongues! That was a huge red flag for us! I was brought up in the church, my dad had two churches. My father NEVER preached anything like that!
I left my last church because of the pastor worship going on. There was no accountability, and the congregation would blindly follow anything that came out of his mouth even if it went against Scripture.
Schuller: Tell me, what do you think is the future of Christianity? Graham: Well, Christianity and being a true believer--you know, I think there's the Body of Christ. This comes from all the Christian groups around the world, outside the Christian groups. I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they're conscious of it or not, they're members of the Body of Christ. And I don't think that we're going to see a great sweeping revival, that will turn the whole world to Christ at any time. I think James answered that, the Apostle James in the first council in Jerusalem, when he said that God's purpose for this age is to call out a people for His name. And that's what God is doing today, He's calling people out of the world for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ because they've been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus but they know in their hearts that they need something that they don't have, and they turn to the only light that they have, and I think that they are saved, and that they're going to be with us in heaven. Schuller: What, what I hear you saying that it's possible for Jesus Christ to come into human hearts and soul and life, even if they've been born in darkness and have never had exposure to the Bible. Is that a correct interpretation of what you're saying? Graham: Yes, it is, because I believe that. I've met people in various parts of the world in tribal situations, that they have never seen a Bible or heard about a Bible, and never heard of Jesus, but they've believed in their hearts that there was a God, and they've tried to live a life that was quite apart from the surrounding community in which they lived. Schuller: [R. S. trips over his tongue for a moment, his face beaming, then says] I'm so thrilled to hear you say this. There's a wideness in God's mercy. Graham: There is. There definitely is.
I have listened to David Jeremiah for a few years, off and on. I take sermon notes regardless of who the pastor is, and afterward, I go back to the top of my notes and write out the Scriptures that were used in the sermon. I have occasionally found a few times when he took a Scripture out of context or had a completely different understanding of a Scripture than others I have listened to. I only discovered the errors and differences of opinions because I am taking the time to read and write out the verses from the sermon, and when it's a difficult verse, I do much more research until I have a better understanding. In other words, the Berean way. I am only using Dr. Jeremiah, but there are several others who are considered reputable, Godly men. So please don't misunderstand me. I'm not picking on Dr. Jeremiah. I'm just trying to make a point.
Yes, I used to listen to Jack Van Impe 20 years ago until I started testing his Scripture references and I discovered he played fast and loose with the facts. He also made some false predictions so I stopped listening after it happened one too many times.
“Dr.” David Jeremiah never earned his doctorate! He was “honored” by a university with an “honorary degree” some time ago and he immediately began calling himself ‘Dr David Jeremiah’…I’ve always thought that was deceitful!
I agree with you on the situation. There are two points on which I am ignorant. I don't know what Daystar is. The other one is this, we know that people that reject Jesus go to Hell. Biblically, I don't know about the who have never heard of Jesus and salvation. Biblical is there a teaching where we could learn for sure on that situation?
Daystar is a so called Christian television network that platforms the worst false teachers like Kenneth Copeland. As for people who never heard, Romans 1 teaches they know there is a God and they are without excuse, therefore they will be judged accordingly, Genesis 18:25 the God of all the earth will do what is right, however that doesn't mean they go to heaven as BIlly Graham once implied. All have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. I leave it in God's hands but its a reason why we should all be part of a church so that we can help support and fund missionaries to reach people.
The difference between hype and truth. Even before I was saved, I would point out how Christianly unsound Billy Graham was. The need to keep him revered, by certain Christians I had talked with, is probably what put off my looking more into Christianity for years.
And what I feel like pastors need to understand it's just because they have a title and just because God has called them does not mean that they are the only ones that God give Revelation of his scripture too. Pastors need to stop asking as though if we do not have a pastor that alone will send us straight to hell. As though Paul did not say that the Lord himself revealed scripture to him that no man taught him. So once most of these pastor stop glorifying their positions and using spiritual abuse in witchcraft then us ministers that have been ordained will return to the church
I agree but even Paul was hand selected by Christ, was part of the church at Antioch and went to visit the apostles in Jerusalem so lone ranger Christians and self-appointed teachers, that is unscriptural. God may call but it must be confirmed and recognized by men.
@Pastor_Grant I have a question, not about Billy Graham or people of other religions, but about unreached people groups (past, present & future). If a person literally never hears the gospel of Jesus Christ, but through the wonder of nature, they believe in a higher authority, that there is an all powerful creator, that they trust in Him to the fullness of their understanding, you are saying that regardless of that, since they don’t know the person of the Messiah, they are not saved and are destined to hell?
I'm saying Billy Graham has no right to declare the heathen saved. If what you describe were to take place God would either send them a missionary or judge them accordingly, this is very dangerous to start tampering with the gospel because of hypothetical scenarios we cook up in our own minds.
@Pastor_Grant I specifically stated that my question was not about BG. I was asking about your belief concerning people that never heard the gospel, no missionary ever came to them, yet they believed in an all powerful, creative, miraculous, higher being. Were they destined to hell?
Pastor are we to be Bereans when it comes to anything anyone says or it’s just in the body of Christ? I often wonder if it’s what anyone says in life in general. Thank you for your help God bless you ❤🙏
Western nations have a Greco-Roman worldview: we're humanists who worship human accomplishments (Grecian), and we believe that "might makes right" (Roman).
I showed all the things you mentioned (and more) to someone who thought that Billy Graham was sound. In spite of all of it, including the clip of Graham and Schuller talking universalism, that man would not say Graham was in error. It was really shocking but I have seen cult members act the same way. I went toe to toe with cult members on basic fundamental doctrines which they were opposed to. Even after showing them verse after verse that proved their beliefs were contrary to the New Testament, they would always cling to the cult instead. Is God giving some over to a reprobate mind these days? I am starting to think so.
What always gets me is how the pastor seem to take pride in telling how someone disagreed with them and now their gone. Bye bye felicia, he seemed to like saying. And then a warning about how they no longer have the covering. Pure bullying, so no one dares ask a question. I finally figured it out, it's a buisness, not a church.
It is the believer’s responsibility to be studying the Word daily and understand the content revealed within the scripture. If the individual is not , he puts himself at spiritual peril. Respect of those in authority is due but worship belongs to God alone. However, if we spend more time criticizing others than we do praying for them, it is nothing less than gross sin in our part.
I haven't heard Charles Finney praised for years. Apparently people back then didn't know that he was a heretic, i.e. a Pelagian. Don't believe me, then read what he wrote. BG is now the pop icon that people dote on. Fame will earn you a lot slack theologically. Compare him to secular icons that can do just about anything and their fans will still defend them. I can't get my mind around such things.😢
I would reference a source responsible for the seed of pastor worship and top-down abuse. The teachings of Henry Black aby. The whole experiencing God movement in the evangel world made it like the unpardonable sin to question leadership because then you would insure God's wrath. Pastors would stand in the pulpit and tell the congregation to repent of questioning God's anointed. The whole emotional thing about joining God was exciting until you realized it was giving pastors a God complex and what was worse was the minions they had as a sheild around them. The yes men and women with power. We barely escaped and we were definately broken. But now, I think it has helped us it drove me to deeper studying the scriptures, and in this age of deception, we recognize when we see it again. The use of emotionalism to manipulate the masses and change scripture into personal experience instead of a relationship with holy God.
People were deceived by day star I was because I thought God would not let them deceive and prosper so yes I gave lots but I have learned and repented And broke ties with these satanic cults day star tbn etc !!

I’m new to hearing you. Thank you for speaking the truth
Pastor Michael
EXCELLENT THANK
YOU !!
I belonged to a cult 25 yrs ago for 5 yrs & some friends said the followers were weak-willed, weak-minded, yet couldn’t see how their passionate defense of certain celebrity preachers was the same thing.
Many pastors want to be worshipped and they believe themselves to be worthy of worshipped!
I could add many . You are right 100%.
Yeah there is a huge issue with what I call the cult of personality that builds up around certain pastors
Alistair Begg 🤦♀️ very disturbing.
I had never seen or heard of the clip of Billy Graham until i came your channel. Physically, my jaw dropped!! I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that he could get something so substantially wrong.
It was shocking, and then to see people's reaction was equally shocking how they defend heresy as long as its coming from someone they admire.
@Pastor_Grant So thankful for you providing consistent and stedfast truth, without compromise. Keep Calling em out !! People are biblically illiterate and need this.
Billy Graham also was ok with abortion 😢

The closer we get to the Day of the Lord, the more of these preachers show their true colors. I was deeply disturbed by Allister Begg's declaration. The latest with Steve Lawson, will we hear John MacArthur's name before long?
I just shake my head at them. Not sure what part of, "for we bear a greater condemnation" they don't understand.
Thank you for your faithfulness to the Word, you are a light in a dark place.

Merry Christmas 😂
You are spot on, l just never knew how to put it in the right words
Very sound teaching. A lot of Christians are really lost. They don't read the bible and ask the Holy Spirit to teach them. No discernment. When you try to teach or correct, they will come after you. The days are so scary among Christians. Majority of us are lost and are just contracted Christians just after what we want. May the Lord have mercy
You are right on.
“Many will fall,
and few will stand.”
Great quote
Well done!
Daystar has hosted and endorsed countless false teachers who unashamedly teach false doctrine, so why would anyone who is a true follower of Christ choose to appear on their platform .
I hope that you will do a top 10 hypocrisy & false teachings in modern churches.
It is imperative that we study the Word of God to see if what we are being taught agrees with scripture.
Dave Hunt exposed this to me a long time ago and his son of the same name said Jesus would take the jab was all i needed to know!
😂
I remember someone saying that. Too bad they didn't think that Jesus wouldn't need to take the jab.
Amen
Luke 6:26 KJV
*_Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you!_* for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
I believe he was working to help usher in a one world government under the guidance of the papacy. You don't get flown to Rome and play golf with presidents unless you are doing something for the powers that be, those people clearly don't care about the Biblical gospel.
😮😮😮 What I didn't know this!!!!!
Amen, Calvary Chapel is huge on the Pastor Worship train!
And there's his honorary doctrate---he isn't dr Jeremiah
Plus supporting TBN and their sow your seed money nonsense 😮
Alistair Begg did say, “I am different than most Christian pastors”. That’s a red flag right there.
I'd been a Begg listener for 10 years. It was no problem dropping him like a hot potato when he gave the wrong advice he gave.
Praying the Lord leads you to the right place. God bless.
Thank you pastor Grant, I really appreciate it, and your ministry.
edit - I asked the Lord where He wanted me to read today and was led to Isaiah 23. Then I read from there and just read this in Isaiah 29 vs 13 - And the Lord said - Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips glorify me, but their heart is far from me, and they have feared me with the commandment and doctrines of men -
I encourage folks to read at least the next two verses as well.

Just out of curiosity, what is your issue with Sproul?
The Holy Spirit is our teacher. 🕊
He blesses us all w/Discernment, Knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom, & a Revelation of His Holy Word in our hearts.

Billy has his plaque on the Hollywood walk of fame, you don't get that "honor" without compromise.
@pastor: I’m surprised you didn’t call out his involvement w/masonry.
Doesn’t surprise me.
There is also power tripping deacons and lay leaders.
Sadly, Billy Graham was very much part of the easy believism/emotionalism/altar calls, etc that was made popular by Billy Sunday and others, and is all too often seen today in Armenian (?sp) churches where total depravity is denied.
Yep. When we all saw the throngs of people going for the alter call, they were in fact mostly the hundreds of counselors. It was deception.
Yikes, that's a church people should run away from. Feel free to share some of these videos with her. Pray it works out. Thanks for sharing.
@@Pastor_Grantactually the church closed several months ago and the pastor and his wife moved to Texas.
@@arlenefaber5912 Yes, and his father was the president of Cedarville college, the college that awarded him with his honorary degree----hmm.

@Pastor_Grant
I have a question, not about Billy Graham or people of other religions, but about unreached people groups (past, present & future).
@Pastor_Grant
I specifically stated that my question was not about BG.
Thank you for your help God bless you ❤🙏
Why not everyone! If the government tells me to take the jab I evaluate and research and make my own decision!
What causes it????..people want a man..a tangible person to worship!!
@LSax5631 yes !! that and unbelief
That's why God didn't want his people to have a King!
Even the photos of Charles Finney's eyes bothered me a lot. Demon possessed??

What church did Billy Graham belong to?
As far as I can tell Billy did not actually belong to a local church.
