Thank you Pastor Alistair Begg and God's blessings on you for being in our lives and bringing us to understand God's Word as it is in the Bible. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hearing of it is different than having the experience for themselves. His point isn't that they are unaware of salvation and what it is but they will never experience it for themselves. You get it?
@@emil2264 Thanks for the perspective, I will try and filter teachings I hear in the future through this idea, The verse does say "Even angels long to look into these things” giving the impression that it is more than the experience itself or as Alister hymn say "experiencing the joy of salvation.😀
We definitely won’t make sense of the Christmas story because Jesus was born on the 28th September on the most sacred day , the Day of Atonement, he had to be really didn’t He ….or it just doesn’t make sense , and died on the Passover in March , as He had to be being the sacrificial Lamb ……God gives us the times and seasons or Moed’s in the Old Testament……
Hi, He quotes two songs in this sermon. They are Holy, Holy, Is What the Angels Sing and O Little Town of Bethlehem. He also quotes from the poem In the Bleak Midwinter. You can find a transcript of the sermon here: www.truthforlife.org/resources/sermon/december-15-2024-evening/
A valid question hikerJohn. Why do we wish, or rather what do we wish? We wish that we had some certain things that we deem are missing and if we had them would complete us. We wish that some things in this world weren't the way they were. Some "christians" wish, like James and John they could call down fire from heaven to completely eliminate what they in their finite minds, deemed an existential threat. The angels wish like we do. They wish the world wasn't the way it was, they are aware of hell and wish it didn't have to be that way. They wish we would obey and didn't rebel against God, like the 1/3 of heavenly hosts who were banished forever. Sin, rebelliousness has consequences. But here's the difference, God is merciful, God is Love... if we are humble to receive it, if we are humble to ask, He gives and loves freely.
"What Angels Wish They Knew" Two things -- does anyone have fact-based evidence that angels are real? (and not the bible) And if that's true, how does a human know what angels wish they knew? (you mean angels are deficient in some knowledge?)
He is speaking about 1 Peter 1:10-12: "Even angels long to look into these things." Angels are not omniscient--they are created beings. Whether or not they actually exist is another question.
@@laurieshouse "He is speaking about 1 Peter 1:10-12:" Since the bible is filled with errors, deletions, mythologies, and can't be trusted for the truth, I shall completely discount that as a source. (Unless of course anyone can produce fact-based evidence of anything spiritual -- so far, no one has). So if they are "created beings" they don't show it. Therefore, I will go on the assumption they don't exist.
You have blessed me, so I praised God for you, sir.

Sermon.
Found it.
It doesn't seem likely that in 2000 years these highly intelligent creatures haven't learned more about Gods grace and our salvation.
