Duncan, just PHENOMENAL!!! Thx so much, that helped tremendously. I wear Giro Factor Techlaces faithfully and really like the dynamic of the shoe. Not sure if I'm ready for another shoe or if just enhance what I have and upgrade from stock insole with identified stock arch support (which is I guess useless). The G8's have had some really good reviews and I totally understand your statements on having difficulties to solely identify if it's the insoles alone or all the improvements made to include fitness. This 9-month Review truly assisted me with making a decision on the near future. Lastly, you surprised me with the shout outs. Thx so much!!! Always staying tuned!!! 🕊☕️🤝

Thanks Duncan. I have always had sore feet, tried variouis shoes, the first good ones were Detto Pietros in the 70s. Then a pair of Addidas in the early 80s. My favourite were Specialized, it was the inner soles with 'Longtitudinal arch', I put the inner soles in my latest shoes, a pair of Fiziks, pretty good.

Hi Duncan, Thanks for the review/thoughts. As I was the one who put you on to the Giro Supernaturals, it was good to hear your thoughts. Like you I wear shoes with a stiff carbon sole and I find the slight amount of 'give' in the giro insoles a comfort benefit. Since moving to a pair of Lake CX237's from my Northwave GT's I've actually gone down a level on the insole support (from a red 3 to an orange 2). Which then begs the question of does the shoe have more effect on performance/comfort than the insole.

Lake build some level of arch support into the sole of the shoe. Probably why you had to back them off a bit.

I recently got these as while cycling I was having pain leading to numbness below the main toe football (on right feet) despite changing cleat position multiple times I tried level 1. Moving forward and backward trying multiple positions in my 1hour cycle ride at slow speed. Strangely, even Level 1 arc will keep poking (instead of supporting) my feet. I could feel its pressure and it didn't go away.
When I stand without shoes on insoles. I can't feel the arc part so much. But with Shoes (Shimano RC 500 extra-wide) when I cycle, I continuously feel despite multiple changes in positions (forward, backward, side). In the end, it became more of discomfort than comfort. I took out arcs and only let insoles be in shoes. I could still feel the push of the arc but something near to ok level. Toe ball felt better with insole (without arc supports) and Metdome level 2 - red color on just right feet.
Should I not use arc supports? What should I do?

Is this any good for pronation on a bike? My right foot collapses inward and it causes me a lot of pain on my knee.

If it’s not performance is it comfort?

Do you have to cut them to fit?

This is the worst review I've ever sat through...of anything.
