  • Aside from a couple of weird key combos, I am REALLY enjoying the Yamaha SEQTRAK. It’s really simple, but very powerful … and sounds great IMO. Anyways, here is a Bicep inspired Yamaha SEQTRAK jam. 👍 #yamaha #seqtrak #synthjam

I've been on the fence about this thing since it was announced. Seems pretty capable though.

Dude! I’m absolutely loving this thing! It's incredibly fun to play with and once you grasp the workflow, it's straightforward and super easy to get some solid jams going. While it's not overly complex in terms of sound design, it does offer a ton of great sounding presets that can be enhanced with basic tools like filters, envelopes, and EQ. Where it truly shines is in the FX department: one individual FX per track, delay and reverb send FX for any or all tracks, a master global effect, and two performance FX.
My biggest gripe at the moment is the mute functionality. To mute parts, you have to hold down the mute button on the side of the device and select the tracks you want to mute or unmute. It's an awkward combo, especially since the mute button is right next to the delete button! Ideally, this could be fixed by offering a mute mode, allowing for easier track muting and unmuting with a single button press. It does have an "unmute all" feature, which is nice and the scenes & song mode helps make up for the mute functionality allowing me to program scenes that have certain parts muted and then changing scene where parts are unmuted. If that makes sense. lol
Oh, and the build quality is pretty cheap. 😂 That took some time getting used to. lol

Sounds great. Are you using the preset? How’s the workflow? I’ve been tempted to get one but I just don’t fancy manual studying again. I want something a bit more intuitive to pick up. You’ve certainly made it sound nice for your first jam.

Thanks! 🙏 This was all programmed by me.👍
You will definitely have to read the manual, watch some videos, and use the companion app a bit to wrap your head around the workflow, BUT once you have an understanding of it… it’s pretty intuitive IMO. Like from the moment it is powered on, I can get a solid jam going in minutes! It is super helpful that all of the stock sounds are high quality and sound great with minimal tweaking.
I definitely think it’s worth checking for the price and I don’t think there is really anything that compares for the price other than the opz.

Thanks for the reply. I guess like a lot of people it was gonna be this or the new KO.

Where did you get those knobs?

They are the factory knobs… I just put on some colored circle labels that picked up from my local office supply store. lol It helps differentiate between the different sections a bit better… kinda enhancing the UI a bit. IMO 😊👍
