I was going to quibble about the lack of Al Jolson in this great selection. But to be fair, Bing sounds remarkably like Al in How Deep is the Ocean. Bing was a great fan of Al as a young singer. It shows in this number...

Irving Berlin came along at the perfect time. If he had been born 100 years later, he likely wouldn't have been so successful. His songs were too artfully crafted and distinctive to fit in with current dreck.

I don't think since the 50's but the 70's when the singers sang and you couldn't understand them. Same thing with the hard metal music.

The choice of music was great. However the tones from the past were a bit harsh compared to the tones which are more modern.
