I've been sort of binge watching your content and i'm learning so much about Judaism. What wonderful memories. Regardless of politics, i have always wanted to visit Israel because of the beautiful history. My ex spent about a decade, on and off, in various locations in the Middle East and he always said how beautiful and wonderful Israel was. Thank you for sharing your memories with us.
I met my husband while it was snowing at the kotel in December of 2006! I'm sure our paths have crossed somewhere along the way. I was there that year too.
I’m not really a religious person but I honestly love watching your videos and learning about Jewish religion and culture. Thanks so much for making this great content!!
"Finding" the Jewish Quarter of the Old City was really a blessing. I had been couple of times in Jerusalem before with friends, but first time I travelled alone I found my self in Jewish Quarter and was astounded.
I’m so sorry that you lost your friend that young. This has happened to me too. I’ve been watching your channel for a long time but hadn’t known this about you before. Thank you so much for sharing. I understand how that fundamentally changes you forever foreverever. Your light shines very brightly 🕯
I'm glad you did not turn off the comments, this is a very beautiful review of your experiences, I was there 5 years ago, but I'm much older than you, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, I can't wait to go back, you have refreshed my desire to return. Thank you
It's so nice to hear that someone as vibrant as you also feels anxious about those worst-case things like I do. Honestly, I'm enjoying this quarantine because it means I don't have to be in crowded situations. I have friends who narrowly escaped a mass shooting, so that's always in the back of my mind when I go places like a grocery store or a church or a concert. I'm so sorry about your friend. I saw your post about her on istagram and she seemed like a lovely person.

Love watching your channel. You give me a bit of home feeling. I’m from Israel and moved to the US six years ago. We were in Pasadena, CA for four years and now in Chicago.
It's important to share these experiences. Living here is, of course, completely different than visiting or attending school here. (To clarify, all restaurants are not kosher, though those you had access to were.)
I have read about Biblical Israel my whole life and always been fascinated about its history but about 3 years ago I started reading more about its modern culture and learning modern Hebrew on preparation for my first trip to Israel. I went to Israel last November and it was amazing. The trip of my life. I met with my Hebrew language partners in Israel and they were so welcoming and caring. I can’t wait to go back. Fascinating history and people 💙🇮🇱

Hi :) I do not know alot about the Jewish culture and religion as there aren't alot of Jews in my country and I think I had bias due to the politics. But I have learnt so much from watching your videos regarding the Jewish culture/religion. Thank you for using your platform to be educational and impactful.
Last year my oldest daughter went to Israel on her birthright trip. She fell in love with the Israeli culture. She would love to one day spend a year teaching English to children there. My son was supposed to go this summer but due to circumstances that has been postponed. Thank you for sharing your story with us.

I'm Christian and went to Israel prior to becoming more religious. Our guide was Jewish, but very zionist not religious, so that impacted the tour alittle negative. Hi there, I have to question, I got 2 coins of old shequel, including 1 agora and 1 old shequel, can I exchange these old coins on old shequel to new shequel?
2006 seems like a lifetime ago! Many things changed:) I'm writing from my phone in a small city close to Tel Aviv, and here independence day evening, few hours ago, was basically families at the balconies putting loud music and hanging lamps and flags. It was really different from what we're used to, but we do what we can. Did you adapt quickly to our Chutzpah in Israel? No politeness, no distance, everybody's in everybody's face? 😂 I hope you get to visit again.! If you or anyone else, have questions, please ask! Happy independence day!
Lol love your question about chutzpah and I think it actually toughened me up I remember thinking if I don't push and shove along with everyone else I'll never get on this bus or to my coat check after the club lol!

I can understand not wanting to be in large crowds. These days the only times I feel comfortable large crowds here in Brooklyn is when I go to a synagogue that’s pretty large. Are used to have an at 770 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights on Shabbos morning at 11 o’clock minyan. It would get so crowded there during the shemoneh earwigs that literally when you breathe in person in front of you is breathing out. I also used to dovven an this HUGE shul in Borough Park. I felt OK in both of those places because I felt like everyone was there for the same thing. I don’t necessarily feel like that another large crowds. It was very nice to hear about your experience in Israel, really makes me want to go there at some point. I have never been and I would like to go very much. I’ve tried a couple times to go but was frustrated both times I think they were outside of my control.

I remember they were very blessed to be there 2 weeks. They couldn’t believe it. The people there are so kind and devoted.. they were overwhelmed by the presence of God. I sent a note to put on the western wall.. ☺️ Every place there is special. ♥️ (My 6 year old was impacted by their experience she wants to go and so do I💕)
is it possible to study in israel especially in engineering university because our country doesnt have diplomatic relationship with israel? Please give me information the best university in engineering at israel and how to joint for study ?
Would you and your family consider making aliyah in the future? I went in February before the Covid-19 impacted the world. Yes, the archaeological, agriculture, political, and religious history in Isreal is amazing.
My Jewish Mommy Life Sorry i was so busy this week ..homeschool and cleaning keeps me away from you tube :)) that’s so great . I live in south africa , so i know what you mean when you say not to ge political 😁 as people tend to do the same when they hear where we are from. but back to the country thar i love...we try to visit israel every 3/4 years . It must be a blessing to live there for a time. I always felt that jewish children going to Israel to study of stay are sooo mature and ready for everything live throughs at them later on. Have a blessed week and thank you for you channel i love it.

Aaaahhh! A fellow alumnus ♡ I also studied at Hebrew U (Rothberg Intl). One of the greatest experiences of my life. I hold onto the people I met there as friends for life ♡ And omgosh haggling with Taxi drivers....and getting dropped off at random parts of the city hahahaahah OH lordy... My comment keeps expanding as I listen to the video. I swear I feel we had the same experiences. ♡♡ loving kibbutzin ♡♡ AH! my room in the Hebrew U appt was the bomb shelter. Best soundproofing of life tbh lol
So cool! The baby cow was adorable! I converted reform a decade ago and I’m in the middle of converting Orthodox. I would love to go over for seminary. We’ll see what happens!
Thank you for sharing your experience abroad. I can relate with your story and brought back memories on how bitter sweet it was. I came to the USA when I was studying -- I only had 6 months left to get my master's degree in psychology. And as a 25 years old woman, it was the first time I was all by myself...I'd cry on the phone with my mom counting down the days to go back to Brazil, and then... I met my husband! Oh well, never finished my masters, got married, had a baby and although I still wonder how my life would've been if I had gone back to Brazil (probably PhD by now), I can say and I am pleased with how my life turned out to be.
Hello I have watched your video, thanks it was good and I have some questions about living in Israel, I will be thankful if you answer me or if you don’t know exactly, ask Israeli people because I don’t have any source to ask, then answer me 1- I have master degree of political science and according to my mind-field interest my first question is “ Is it possible for me to find a security or police type jobs in Israel? “ 2- I saw a video about a lady who lived in Israel in a time I think and she said if you’re living in Israel many people would ask you ” Why are you here? “ and think maybe you’re an unsuccessful person who decided to live in Israel rather than Europe or North America, So the chance about getting job in job agencies or by an employer would be weak. Are these statements true? Thank you,
Your enthusiasm and honesty flowed off the screen. Although one can understand your anxiety it is a shame it prevented you in partaking of the other delights of Israel as you mentioned outdoor gatherings etc. You understandably concentrate on Jerusalem a lot and yes a magical place but did you explore the rest of Israel especially the open culture of Tel Aviv as well as venturing to Masada and the Dead Sea. Like many you seem to not include a must visit to Yad Vashem although you may have gone but it is so important to keep that “Never Again” message alive. So thank you for your vlog it was as they say SABABA! 👍🇮🇱

Would you and your family consider making aliyah in the future? I went in February before the Covid-19 impacted the world. Yes, the archaeological, agriculture, political, and religious history in Isreal is amazing.
At the moment no but never say never!
I want to go back to Israel so bad.
Loved this!..lov Israel but did i hear correct that you are from South Africa?
Thank you! My parents are but I spent a lot of time there growing up, I love it very much.
My Jewish Mommy Life Sorry i was so busy this week ..homeschool and cleaning keeps me away from you tube :)) that’s so great . I live in south africa , so i know what you mean when you say not to ge political 😁 as people tend to do the same when they hear where we are from.

I am a born again Christian and feel that connection to Israel and would love to visit.

That's so cool! thank you!
♡♡ loving kibbutzin ♡♡
AH! my room in the Hebrew U appt was the bomb shelter. Best soundproofing of life tbh lol
thank you for sharing this video. i enjoy it
You’re welcome!
So cool! The baby cow was adorable! I converted reform a decade ago and I’m in the middle of converting Orthodox. I would love to go over for seminary. We’ll see what happens!
Thank you 🙏 I hope you can!
Juliana Feller wow! You just never can know where life will take you!
have you checked hidabroot on YT?
I haven't but I will!
Did you ever take advantage of the Law of Return and become Israeli, or just go on a education visa?
I didn't I was only there for under a year.
Hello
I have watched your video, thanks it was good and I have some questions about living in Israel, I will be thankful if you answer me or if you don’t know exactly, ask Israeli people because I don’t have any source to ask, then answer me
1- I have master degree of political science and according to my mind-field interest my first question is “ Is it possible for me to find a security or police type jobs in Israel? “
2- I saw a video about a lady who lived in Israel in a time I think and she said if you’re living in Israel many people would ask you ” Why are you here? “ and think maybe you’re an unsuccessful person who decided to live in Israel rather than Europe or North America, So the chance about getting job in job agencies or by an employer would be weak. Are these statements true?
Thank you,
You are so correct. I visited Israel and cam back less religious. I love Israel.
I was born and raised in Israel & make short films + music videos from the country I love so much! 🇮🇱 great video
That’s so awesome!!
Hi can I get your whatsapp number
Very interesting video. Btw Go BRUINS! I graduated from UCLA in 2008!
OMG yay!! Go Bruins!! I miss LA so much!
Beautiful
Thank you so much for your kind comment!
