Hi! This is something that really still bothers me because I wish I had known this happens. I knew all of the basic side effects like acne, weight gain and mood changes but I had NO clue it could change what you are attracted to. I would have gone off the pill much sooner. Hoping this video helps at least one person who might be struggling with similar issues.

I’ve been on birth control for a month now, and Ive completely flipped on my boyfriend emotionally. I’m always on edge and crying to him and I feel so bad bc it’s really been stressing him out. It’s gotten bad to the point where we’ve almost broken up. He’s very lovely and I’m absolutely horrified in how I’ve treated him :’c

Hey! I'm going through this. A week and a half ago I could not have been more in love with my guy. One night after feeling just the same love as I always do, I got home and it's like a switch flipped. I started asking "what if we're not right for eachother?" I stopped feeling anything toward him and it's been going on since then. I am having terrible anxiety where I cant stop thinking about how we might be wrong or incompatible or something. I keep trying to explain this to him and it is ripping him apart. So my choice was to take a break. That felt like the only way to get away from the bad feelings. It didnt work. I still feel like shit and I cant stop thinking about our relationship and I feel so horrible. I'm so scared because I dont understand how I could suddenly not think this man is my future even though he was everything I wanted and legitimately perfect for me a week and a half ago. I stopped nexplanon today so I'm hoping that evens things out.

I started taking it 3days back and in the past two days I have been fighting him for no reason. 😢 today I got so emotional and started crying and told him to stay away from me and leave me alone, 5min later I started complaining that he is not giving me attention but we in the same room. He responded saying but you just told me leave you alone. And I was like no I changed my mind, him being nice he cuddle me but just right then I told him not to touch me. He told me take some time and let him rest, I took a walk and I felt calm, realizing that no man my emotions are messed up. Lady year we broke up just a month after I started taking the pill because I was always emotional, crying and blaming him and he eventually suggested we take some time apart. That time apart of course I stopped using the pill and 3 months later we were okay, our conversations were fine, I wasn't emotional or fighting him. But I went back on the pill now coz I wasn't really sure if it's the course and boom! We have been fighting. I AM STOPPING NOW

Hormones are so powerful and we will die without them, and when they malfunction it can be life-threatening. Modern medicine is only now catching up with this and realizing hormones are actually the main focus not just what they've been doing by paying attention to the symptoms of everything else. They play a role in absolutely everything. And need to be seen as such. That's why this isn't something to play with lightly and people really need to understand this. And doctors need to take very seriously the side effects it can change your whole outlook your feel your function on so many levels! thank you for sharing your story! With a med background and I myself also have hashimotos no one knew that because I wasn't full autoimmune when I was younger. So I know exactly what you're talking about and watched so many other people go through this. 9:21 its me,I am that woman😅I started going on birth control at 16,pretty much because of the same reason as you, painful & heavy periods. When I met my ex husband 7 years later, everything was sunshine & rainbows. We got married like a year and a half later because of how excited and happy we were. Then like a month in,I decided to get off birth control,so we could have a child.Few days later,I started getting really moody, and my body physically couldn't take it.I started having acnee, being sleepy all the time, but that was just the beginning.Around 3 weeks later,I couldn't stand my husband anymore.I would see him near me,and reject him, eventhough my mind was like:What are you doing?.Its like,he was a stranger to me.I said it was because of how hormonal I was, that it will pass.So I went on,things got worse day by day though.I wouldn't want to accept it,so I kept going without telling him anything. 3 months in,it was unbearable.I couldn't hold it anymore.Just when i wanted to tell him,I found out I was pregnant.Just when I decided to tell him my true feelings, and possibly ending this,it happened. My biggest fear was being a single mom,I also didn't want to break up with my babys father & husband because of a "silly"(as I thought at the time) reason such as these.I had a lot of internal struggles,I was stressed out and confused.Few days later,I had a miscarriage, caused my stress apparently.Me and my husband decided to divorce about 2 weeks after my pregnancy loss, after we sat down and I finally gathered the courage to talk to him,and tell him how I really feel.Ladies,GET OFF BIRTH CONTROL BEFORE A RELATIONSHIP TO SEE THE REAL YOU,AND COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR PARTNER,DON'T HOLD IT IN SAYING IT WILL PASS OR THAT ITS SILLY,CUZ ITS NOT

I got off birth control 5 months and since i stopped taking it, i can't stand my husband, everything he does , his behaviors, mannerisms, his way of fighting over dumb things is making so hard for me, i tell him all the time I'm going trough a hard time, because my hormones are imbalanced, i ask him to leave me quiet, he don't listen, so i get my bike and i go ride around the city, im avoiding him, he always wants to fight and to argue over silly things like the windows, or anything else, for seven years i managed to deal with his ways, but lately i just can't stand him, whenever he starts to speak loud or scream at me, i walk away , i can't wait to be able to leave him for good, i look at him now and i ask myself what was i thinking when I got myself in front of a judge to marry this human being? He smokes cigars and weed, and i can't stand him smoking around me in the house anymore, i can't stand his smell, because he smells like weed and nicotine, i don't smoke at all, but now i can't just deal with it

@THE ADAM FRIEDLAND SHOW that's just life I guess, people change. I look back at my previous self sometimes and say "what tf was wrong with you for you to like that person or date that person?" Or "what was I thinking when I decided to be with this or that person" Hormones or not people will change, the people who you were once able to tolerate may in the future become unbearable, the one's who you couldn't stand will end up being the same ones you becomes desensitized towards, of course your perception of certain things may not change but for other things it will change slowly with time as you mature, learn more about yourself, explore and gain more mind shaping experiences from the world

I had more physical side effects than emotional. Generic Pill from ages 13-23.
I started forming fibroids with every period along with hormonal cysts in reproductive areas . After my 3rd cyst removal, i decided to make a change.
Still going through hormone rebalance and just taking each day at a time.
Some people recommend going back to a doctor, but I feel like my experience is better off on a natural path of its own at this point.
I figured it'll probably take ay least half a decade for my body to start normal production of hormones (if at all) .

Anyone see improvement after taking the pill, if so how long?
I'm going through it right now,
My Ex told me my scent changed and couldn't find me attractive anymore but she knew she loved me. she said she's been feeling it since she started taking the pill. She was on it for 2 months before she told me because it was only getting worse to the point where she couldn't even touch me or be near me and she didn't know why.
She went cold turkey, not taking anything but a month later she felt hopeless and ended the relationship. I kept my cool and respected her wishes. I still have hope, I'm just giving her space because we were both able to tell she was a different person when she was on the pill, extremely emotional, easy to anger and very depressed.

Damn that sucks. I didn't even know this was a thing, but it reminds me a lot about what psychiatric medications like anti-depressants do. These drugs make everything ok. To put it bluntly, they pump your brain full of underserved serotonin. In this state, you can live an objectively miserable life and seem totally ok. That can screw you over. On my part, I made some long term academic decisions that I deeply regret now that I'm off the drugs. And since the sham serotonin is no longer propping me up, I have to live this misery day in day out for at least another 7 months. That's because the window to back out closed about 9 months ago, and I just paved right over it in my stupor.
It's like, it's like a different kind of regret. I'm not mad at me, per se, for making a poor decision. I'm mad at a drugged me for making a poor decision. But this isn't like a drunk driving incident where it was my f-up to drink and to drive. I had a group of professionals and important figures in my life urging me to do this and telling me this was the right thing to do. I shot myself in the foot with honorable people egging me on. I'm sure you had that same experience.
And there's this interesting moral dilemma we can talk about that's akin to the Matrix in a literal sense. You and I were both presented with the option of going back on the drugs and pretending everything was fine, but I think we made the right decision in breaking the illusion.

Birth-control sterilize women partially or fully and cause all kinds of problems to a woman's body.
That's why a woman needs to be free to be able to be natural by being married to the man she is
being intimate with. Married in church so it is for real. You can pray for a natural wife and if you
think you should not get married then there should not be sex, because there is no safe way for
her to do it without causing damage to her body. We live in such hard but interesting times right now.
We need to pray a lot and try to get to know God.

      How are you feeling now?
If so how long did it take for you to start feeling better?
I'm going through it at the moment.
My Ex told me my scent changed and couldn't find me attractive anymore but she knew she loved me. she said she's been feeling it since she started taking the pill. She was on it for 2 months before she told me because it was only getting worse. she stopped taking it but a month later she felt hopeless and walked away. I still have hope I'm just giving her space.

My (as of last night ex) girlfriend has PMDD and yaz killed our relationship. The first almost two months were great but she was dealing with PMDD and hadn’t gone to an OB in 3 years. I encouraged her to get checked out and supported her in the doctor’s treatment which was throwing her on Yaz for three months. The result was two months of me being abused by a crazy insane person who took over my gf’s body, ultimately resulting in her breaking up with me because I finally spoke up and asked her to stop taking the damn pill. Her warped mind saw that as “not respecting” and “not trusting her autonomy.”

She is totally different than she was when she wasn’t on birth control. But it’s gone on for to long, she is completely into the birth control. I can’t tell her to watch this video and understand it. Children are expensive and we do not get paid enough at all or often enough! And all you want and need is to become a terrific parent ! I cannot TELL you how grateful I am that I never touched birth control until I got married a year and a half ago, at 23. I knew who my adult self was without it, and that's why I'm now finally getting off it, because the way it screwed with my body f-ed me up. And I am even more grateful that I dated and married my husband completely without HBC, because I know that the REAL, unaltered me loves him.
But DUDE, the BC ring made my libido gradually die _completely,_ gave me depression episodes for the first time in my life, and made me angry, irritable, and irrational almost all the time. I wasn't ANY of those things before. My husband and I are both finally totally done with it, because I'm not even hardly the same girl he married!
And now that I've learned about how effective the Fertility Awareness Method is when used properly, there's no way I'm staying on HBC anymore. It's fake synthetic drugs that f**k up your body.

I hope that helps you decide what to do for you better and gives you a place to start that's not to difficult for someone to do and also gives you somewhere to start looking into it for your own research (which I imagine you do already like many others) :) good luck and I hope your periods get better someday just keep working on yourself and don't give up! I witnessed this 3 times now they start cutting the pill and slowly beginn to stop caring for you or they start taking it and now they are obsessed to the point of no return

I’m actually really scared because I have pcos, and I recently got switched onto a new one. Ever since my depression has skyrocketed and I have had massive amounts of suicidal ideation. I hate this misogynistic society so much. I wish they could properly research this disorder instead of just throw birth control at it. They are literally killing women at this rate by refusing to chuck more energy into this. I don’t care if there’s already hundreds of studies, I want erectile disfunction level of research when it comes to something that affects 1/10 ppl with a uterus! If this was affecting men they would’ve found something out. Don’t even get me started on how useless I find gynecologists to be. Why pay 85 for a “specialist” if all they’re going to do is give me poison, aka birth control? Do they these ppl do literally anything else? Can’t my primary care doctor chuck birth control just as easily? We need a field of gynecology because of how complex our issues are, but with the way these ppl are so lazy and misogynistic, we might as well not have it and nothing will change. I have literally seen ppl go in for the most horrific of cases for years on end and the only treatment given is new birth control that once again fails to do it’s job. This is ridiculous.

IUD but to be honest just abstain or meet a good man. Have values and make good moral and sober decisions concerning men. It is the best way to avoid putting things that cause side effects which are possibly still unknown

Good information! BTW your voice doesn't annoy me. I was going to watch your nail art videos again, but I don't see them anymore.🙄

The pills have given me a hard time for years. All throughout college, I always felt tired and couldn’t put my finger on what it was. Was always wanting to stay in and not go out that much. And I have figured out it was the birth control pills that I was taking! It increases my depression and it’s putting me in a bad mood right now. 🤣 It can give you muscle aches and can make you feel like you have the flu. But of course it’s different for everyone. I guess I’ll find another form to use.🤣

I got my first shot and shi and at first there wasn’t really a big difference, couples weeks ago I was js a lil more emotional etc, thought nun of it until a few days ago i js snapppped on my boyfriend, way more than I should’ve. Afterwards I felt horrible for acting that way. I feel like he might be thinking of breaking up… idk if I should get off it or not cs I don’t want to risk anything.

My wife was on birth control before we met. She went off the shot when we were dating and got married.
After 12 years, she went back on birth control, and now is a different person for it. She chased me out her place and wants a divorce.
I don't blame the shot, bc i know she knows it's her thoughts and feelings regardless of hormones acting up.
