No other football channel with as broad a remit as yours would ever tackle this subject, let alone produce a series on it. This is the best football content on the internet.
As an Irish nationalists in NI its great to see this great channel take an interest in the sports and political issues weve had over the years. Very well researched and explained and incredibly impartial. Love it.
I love the gunshots and goalpost series and all other work you guys do. it's always informative and you dig up the deepest facts that most people aren't aware of, and the animation is great as well. please keep up the good work. my only downside is that there isn't more content 😆. but I understand that the animation probably takes time. keep up the great work guys
Sport can sadly not escape police. Football culture is the expression of the supporters. Such as the religion conflicts of Protestants and catholics being channelled through Rangers, celtic, linfield and glentoran.
Ha...I was waiting for this video on Linfield FC especially since you covered their rivals before This series is more than amazing, very informative and makes you interested with the music, narration and the art/animation. Now I can't wait for the next one, great job guys keep it up :D
Great video. I'm a LoI fan south of the border and my team played Lindfield in the Setanta Cup in recent years. I knew they are prods from Belfast but that's all I knew about them until I watched this video. I should learn more about them and the league teams in Northern Ireland though.
I teach world history and I tell my students that soccer is the most important sport in the world. Time and again, a topic comes up, whether it’s a historical event or something current, that supports this assessment. I love history and soccer has taught me so much.
Great video lads so great to see are team from South Belfast getting this exposure. Linfeld have made great strides to become more of a balanced club and less hateful towards another region. It's more about the football now which is great as this is what should all be about.
I enjoyed it, just like the rest of your videos! Learned new information about football, and realized how far away we've come from non-sensible violence in the sport.
uMAXit Football Hahaha no problem. I originally subscribed around the beginning of the year because I enjoyed your statistical analytics. I've now come to prefer videos like this (mainly because you've made me interested in looking at the numbers myself so I usually know much of those videos already). Stories that describe football long before my time. Brings me to, and let's me experience a time I wouldn't be able to physically go to. Again, thank you!
FYI the reason the fans broke the Belfast Celtic players leg AND also threw him into a ditch is because the player purposely injured one of our players
Although impressive, it's also disgustingly demoralising seeing Linfield and the Old Firm of Glasgow ridiculously more successful than the rest of their competitors. Would be brilliant if the Irish leagues unite to increase the standards and fan bases of the clubs in that island.
As a fan of Hibernian, I and many others have just understood that no club outside the old firm would ever win a SPFL title. However when you look at the bigger picture, When Celtic or Rangers do something anti competitive it really because they want to actually compete in Europe and get a big bag of money. Don't you think it's slightly ridiculous that Scotland gets 2 sports for Champions League qualifiers and England gets 4 for direct Group Stage action which doesn't help the old firm as there is less spots for their team and English club automatically get tons of money even if they play horrific. UEFA is at fault for thus issue in my opinion.
Linfield FC has always had a section of hooliganism in their ranks as a Glentoran FC fan at times in the 80s-90s both sets of fans would meet at the bottom of dee street not far from the oval ground and battle it out after the derby games because they couldn't get at each other during the games because of a steel cage and a heavy RUC presence even fireworks got thrown keep in mind both clubs had an overall protestant-unionist fanbase pointless when you think about it now but at the time prospects were low and most fans just seen it as a great day out to get one over on the club from across the city (Morgan Day 2005) will probably be that last mass brawl witnessed between the two sides as it's a new generation of fans coming through and most people have other interest now and the league has changed somewhat but historically you can't deny the trophy count they held the worlds most league title record for a while and that's the only thing I will give this club credit for because any talent that comes from NI usually gets sucked up by Linfield FC they are the club with the money and facilities but Glentoran FC in my eyes will always truly be the best and most traditional club in Northern Ireland which furthers my argument on you maybe making a video on Glentoran FC.
A team that triumphed? Clearly know little about Irish League Football.. they've had their success bought for them. Would hardly call it a triumph. Seems strange not to mention the Big Two fixture as well.
@Jack The Film Fanatic may be the case but that is only recently and they still have an unfair financial advantage over the rest of the league. And before you say that money is for ground maintenance, they no longer pay a penny for the up keep of Windsor park.
Let us know what you thought of the series guys. And comments/feedback and likes/dislikes really help us out a lot! Happy Monday :)
I thought it

We try to release daily! That's a struggle as it is! >< thank you for the support though. We're always pushing for more if it's right to do so
The best channel related to football that I've found on youtube.
Thanks for the amazing support!
Informative, not biased and well done research on an interesting topic!
I am learning about Northern Ireland history one video at a time. Sports shouldn't be use for politics or escalating conflict
Gede Resnadiasa You don’t understand then
Jack Pac I do not. Yes.
Sport is deeply intertwined into politics. Almost every club has politics that surround it and it makes the club what they are
Dede In ireland north and south sport has being greatly intertwined with politics sincc 1884

The best football mini series. period.
Dessie Gorman, the best player I have seen in a Linfield jersey
Coming from ni and supporting Linfield it gave a great insight as to how far not only northern Ireland but football in ni has moved on
Love watching videos on smaller club even more the ones I support 💙💙
Great Series. Gets to the heart of sport and politics. Makes me want to read the book.
Kris Rizakis it's on offer until this Wednesday
football has so much history maybe one day it'll become a school subject
We can only hope
