Until now I only did videos in German but now I will start this channel with English videos to reach a larger audience of traders and help them improve their trading. I tested it on other indices like US30, US500 & USTEC from 2012 until 2023, with 2% lot size.
The EA shows impressive result for all. Around 1.6 profit factor, around 5% of max drawdown (given the 5% SL 😁), 50% to 60% win rate.
Though it could be "boring" for day trader since the EA basically only trades 1 per week 🤣🤣🤣

I build the EA. I tested it. It works like a charm. When I put it on the VPS: Nothing. Just does not execute, despite the setup being there. Logs don't show anything strange either. Don't know what to do 😕

What EA would you recommend?
Hey Rene! Love what you do and your transparency with trading. I have a questions. Do you think it would be possible to code in an EA that it uses when you do a backtest for lets say 10 years, the bot will uses different input parameters for each year. So you could lets say have a moving average crossover strategy, and in the code you can set maby periods 100/300 for 1 year and 200/300 for another year, and 250/350 for another year, and so on. And then when you backtest it will use this eparameters and for the correct year and show the full performance graph from it. It is for Walk forward analysis

Is important to backtest with same terminal you are trading, specially with prop firms like FTMO.
They buffer margin 333% and 300% (like funded next) so your results, even with same leverage will never be the same.
ICM uses regular 100% margin level so is huge difference.
Hmm i do not really understand why the margin level matters.. i do not use a high leverage here i think

I really like your videos, but in every video about programming, you're explaining every little thing about integers, double, functions., enum all over again. You already have multiple videos for beginners about these stuff. Beginners can and should watch those videos first before watching more advanced topics. It really makes your videos frustrating and boring for non-beginners. I skip nearly half of the video just because you are describing what an integer is or a function parameter is. I hope you make your programming videos more about programming technics and strategies not the basic programming stuff.

How do you chose the time so that the EA opens the trades. I chose 22h55 in a demo account but it did not open a trade. I don't know if by 22h55 the indices market are already close or not.
You can choose whatever time you like. Make sure to test different inputs ;)

Check the journal for error messages. If you do not find any you should check the code again and try to figure out what went wrong
The number of hands cannot be used normally on USDJPY.

Great as always Rene, I have a question outside of this video. Can you check if there is a way to do ObjectCreate in the second chart, in the Strategy tester?
Actually i think it is not easily done. Maybe with the windows library but not with the standard mql5 framework i think.. if i remember correctly you cannot really get the chart id
But if you google you might find a solution ;)
@ Yes, the problem is here, only one chart ID can be found, but 3 charts are open. I searched the entire internet, I posted this problem in the MQL5 forum, but no one has a solution.
Hi René, ich wollte dich mal fragen, wie viele Zeilen Code und wie viele Indikatoren du maximal benutzt? Ich habe einen Code geschrieben mit so etwa 40 Copybuffern... und in real-time trading kommt dieser nicht klar... erkenne ich daran, dass der Comment nicht aktualisiert wird, dass keine Informationen nicht real-time aktualisiert werden, kann man da was machen, damit der Code schneller rechnet?
Ich limitiere das nicht. Ich nutze so viele Zeilen/Indikatoren wie notwendig.. Aber das hört sich für mich ehrlich gesagt eher nach einem Problem im Code an.. Eigentlich kann der MetaTrader auch größere Programme problemlos abarbeiten. Vielleicht sind die Indikatoren aber auch einfach super ineffizient. Das kann auch sein.
@ danke für die Antwort. Also, im Strategietester rechnet er es "halbwegs" schnell durch. Ich nutzte Bollinger, SMA und ATR mit verschiedenen Zeitcharts. Ich habe eine Lösung gefunden 8-D. Ich habe eine periodische Funktion hinzugefügt und pro Tick arbeitet er einen kleinen Teil des Codes ab.

Keypoint: Not really profitable in the last 3 years on every testet pair.
Just good enough to learn pragramming.
Really profitalbe strategies are NOT free of charge. This is just a turorial bro. Create your own profitable strategy from the tutorial knowledge that is how it all works.
