I work in a factory of these exchangers in Brazil. One of our big problems is the following: Our fin press uses oil for lubrication and we need to wash them so that when brazing the curves it doesn't catch fire. Is there any way I can remove the oil washer from the fins? Using evaporative oil? Or depending on the size of the collar, will I really need lubrication?
Great question! This is generally outside our area of expertise, but we have heard of other partners flushing the tubes/coils after assembly. I would recommend reaching out to Burr Oak Tools for their additional thoughts on this topic.
