I know it doesn't smell the GREATEST, but the way to keep the Mice away is to set out MothBalls in different areas of your cabin, it doesn't take to awful long to either get used to the smell of the MothBalls or have the fresh air wipe it away, whatever the case may be, I'd much rather deal with the smell of MothBalls then to have mice running all over the place getting into things left behind & destroying other things that we either forgot to take with us or didn't put them in a safe place. Just a helpful tip. you don't want to use decon, because that draws the mice in, I've tested it both way & Our Pop-up camper was the only one out of all our friends that never had any damage done to it by the mice, because I put Mothballs in ours, everyone else had great damage to all of the bedding & their seats where they chewed them up making nests for the winter, costing our friends great $$$ & asking us hey how much did it cost you to replace everything in your pop-up & I had to force myself not to smile & I'd say it cost us NOTHING, because we had no damage done to the inside of our pop-up.......Thank You Lord for MothBalls..........
When you chop wood, start along the edge of the stump, preferably along an age ring about 2-3 inches in from the edge, then work your way in to the middle. Much easier.
