Definition,
Cell is defined as a structural and functional unit of the living organisms.
It is the one which actually working to keep the all organs in the human body alive and proper function.
Functions,
Each cell in the body :
1. Needs nutrition and oxygen
2. Produces its own energy necessary for its growth,
repair and other activities
3. Eliminates carbon dioxide and other metabolic wastes
4. Maintains the medium, i.e. the environment for its
survival
5. Shows immediate response to the entry of invaders
like bacteria or toxic substances into the body
6. Reproduces by division. There are some exceptions
like neuron, which do not reproduce.

By help of WBC it eats the bacteria. The eating process is called phagocytosis.

Good Question. Actually in Brain tumor or any tumor. The tumor cells do not follow the normal cell cycle of the cell. The cells grow rapidly but they won't go for cell death. Atlast they will spread to the adjacent cells if it is malignant type. Normally the neurons wont replicate by cell mitosis. But malignant cells won't obey the normal rules of the body.
