Nice vid !i think price ratio 2666mhz its best for now ....if u got money u go for higher for sure .
GT 1030 is cheaper than 2666 ram..just kidding :)
Benchmark 😂😂😂
Earthman SpithaHra just oc ur ram, kek
Earthman SpithaHra Maybe try to overclock 2400mhz memory since It's the most common and cheapest.
This video explain how frequencies works at stock ...now oc ram its not able for all mobos and some people don't know how...so leave the oc ....by the way I just say my opinions only depend what I see in that video .I don't have am4 platform yet....
but the fact is that a kit ram of 8gb is even more expensive than a gt 1030, lol
1030's are costing 100-150$ if they are even in stock, you can get a 2x4 RGB ram kit for under 100$. In the US at least(1050ti's are going for 229$!! just a bit more than 2x8 3200mhz ram).
now 16gb is more expensive than a 1050
@Thành Đạt Trịnh Did you just mean that PCs with the 1030 do not need RAM?
I bought 2x4gb 2400mhz for 100$ and OC to 3200mhz
@Cuzeg Spiked Crucial is not generic though, it's a widely known as a very reputable brand. They even have their own in house memory division which is Micron Technology.
I think if your target is 60hz, it's better to invest in a GPU when prices go down of course whose minimums don't fall below 60 fps. The extra cost in ram is not worth the extra 5-8 fps on the average if the GPU is able to push those frames above the monitors refresh rate. 60-65 fps for example will make no visual difference. I understand there are multiple factors such as if you are using a dgpu and what game you are playing. But if you're able to push those frames to what your monitor can handle, the excess is just wasted resources. 2133mhz can be ocd to 2400-2666 which seems to be the sweet spot for Ryzen. Now if you don't already own 2133 mhz when building your new rig and ram prices go down in price then why not invest a little more in higher clocked ram. Just my opinion.
Emanuel Popa But sure you must have good ram memory eather on igpu or dedicated graphic
You can always overclock your monitor
so faster ram is gaining 25% performance over which is good when in other games it could be the difference of 40-60fps like in world of warcraft or battlefield
LOL
AS MENTIONED ON AMDS OFFICIAL SITE R3 2200G MAX RAM SUPPORT 2993MHZ
That's exactly what I've thought when I first saw the video. It's better to get 2666mhz and then overclock it to 3000mhz. You save money and also get some fps.
seriously?
Can you test it at 720p?
So I"m advised to spend 300$ on ram to match a 99$ apu. Fck.
Not really. Just buy a gpu, you're not really missing anything much with that 4-5 fps difference unless you're a pro gamer. And in that case i doubt this budget apu would be even be in your radar.
$300 ? Where are you located that RAM is that expensive. For the last 4 - 5 months RAM has been below $200 for 16gb kit and below $150 for 8gb kit here in Canada. Those prices are ranged too, depending on where you buy them from, I see TeamGroup RAM under $110 all the time and it's an 8gb 3200mhz kit
@@ltn_games dude its 10 mo comment, due to bitcoin mining craze where pc parts price are fuckfest
Umm .. in Russia 16gb of overclockable DDR4 costs about 100$
@@Bos_Meong even a year ago it was not 300$ it was like $200 - $250.
in My opinion these integrated graphics cards should have access to quad-channel RAM. 4 sticks of 4GB DDR4 in QUAD channel would be great. Unfortunately the technology is not available for any CPUs with IGPs.
WELP
2x4gb 2400mhz or 2x4gb 3200mhz, difference is 1000php or bout 20usd
3200 mhz
Way better
I have a 2666mhz , I can upgrade to 3200mhz but I guess I can manage. I'll just save for a new parts for the future. Or a new build.
Thank you for your work!
Finaly someone to this benchmark thx
Ok what abt performance in 3200 MHz with 2×4gb ram nice video btw
For your info guys, ryzen 3 2200g don't support more than 2993mhz. so positively, you wouldn't have chance to boot your system with r3 2200g and 3200mhz
I thought that too when i bought my RAM but i was wrong, 2933 mhz is the maximum speed that AMD guarantees to work with absolutely full stability. In reality most chips can handle faster RAM without problems, most users agree that the sweet spot for the average Ryzen APU build is around 3200 mhz. Just for testing i overclocked my RAM (i have a Ryzen 3 3200g) to 3200 mhz but i had to go up with the voltage too much for full stability so i stayed in 3000 mhz and 16 CAS. One of this day i´ll try to lower the CAS latency and the other parameters a little.
thx for testing n upload
What I wanted to see, 2666 is the sweet spot
You should not expect much from igpu, so use low settings @720p
Do a video of only R3 2200G benchmark in Csgo and Dota 2 without any external gpu. Hope you will do this.

Doesn’t the 3200g only support 2933mhz ram so what’s the point of 3200mhz ?
the max ram speed that ryzen 3 2200g supports is 2993mhz
No it's not, I'm running at 3000mhz right now
@@ltn_games that's basically the limit
@@le0shadowI mean it's not far off from 2933 so I can understand why 3000 would be the limit. So basically this video showing 3200mhz is more than likely only running at 3000mhz ?
@@ltn_games 2993 not 2933, and yes, this apu will only run at 2993mhz max, regardless if you use a 3200mhz stick
Hi i will buy MSI b350m pro vdh mainboard ,ryzen 2200g and gskill ripjawsv 2x4 3200mhz rams. Will there work without overclock? Do you prefer this ram?
I heard you have to “overclock the RAM” to get the extra juice from anything in the 3000mhz. Did you do that in this test? How do u do it?
XMP profile.
Why not 720p on high
1080p is the standard
900p
900p the best for an apu
How about 2200G with GT 1030 and 8GB 3200Mhz? The fps result will be the same as APU?
I have 2x4GB 2400MHz RAM, should i change my RAM to 2x4GB 2666MHz or 2x4GB 3200MHz or should i stick with 2x4GB 2400MHz?
Does Ryzen 3 2200g support up to 3600 Mhz Ram?
Hey, could you test R5 2400G + 2666/3200MHz vs 2133/2400 dual channel?
hello sir may I know what motherboard do u use In this test? coz I thought only 2933mhz max ram support in ryzen 3 2200g TIA sorry for my bad eng.
For Ryzen 3 3200g, would 2 x 4GB 3200mhz be better than 2 x 8GB 2400mhz without a GPU and plans of overclocking as well?
Definitely no. 2x8gb is way bettet
will 2400g supports 3600mhz in someday?
great vid btw. it helps a lot. thank you
Spec-wise it only supports 2933 MHz memory, but people have been able to push the memory to 3200 MHz. So the point lies in the motherboard, not in the CPU itself.
@@phamnguyenductin Hi, mi MB is: MB GIGABYTE AB350M-DS3H ( GA-AB350M-DS3H ) AM4

How did you run ur ram in 3200mhz coz mine gets bluescreen when i enable the xmp and turn in 3200mhz
Your motherboard does not like it, maybe, or you're trying to overclock micron chips.
If anyone can help me, I'm having issues with my apu (ryzen 3 3200g) and vega 8 graphics, At higher ram speeds the igpu performs worse then ram clocked at lower speeds. This makes absolutely no sense.
Example, GTA V
At 2400mhz the vega 8 does 40fps on 1080p high
At 3200mhz the vega 8 does 17-20fps on 1080p high
This makes absolutely no sense, If anyone has a explanation that would be nice
Im using a ryzen 3 3200g
4x4gb of hyperx fury 3200mhz ram
asrock b450m pro4 mobo
Ryzen can only go to 2933 MHz so a 3000mhz ramsticks is better
You likely have overheated your Ryzen and it went thermal throttle. What is your temperature and do you see any clock dipping mid way when the temperature is high?
Hi, if I want add a ram of 3000mhz in this motherboard mother gigabyte a320m-s2h. Can I?
I found a 2800mhz 2x4gb RAM for 76€(aprox. $85). Is it worth it buy a 2x4gb 3200mhz for 104€(aprox. $115) instead of the 2800mhz?
Budget is quite important, but I can do 3200 if its worth the buck.
PS: sorry for my english. Not my native language.. also I did the conversion just from my head, so $115 may be $120.
2800 will do just fine, 2200g support only 2933 so anything more arent needed
@@xismxist thanks for the reply
2933mhz and greater is the sweet spot for Ryzen, I'm running at 3000mhz and it's perfect. I'm sure 2800mhz will do just fine and you will only lose a frame or 2 in your games.
What about overclocking RAM would it be effective?
2133, 2400, and 2666 is native frequency. 3200 reached by OC.
I have 3600 Gaskell ripjaws but the clock is at 2133 !! B450 gigabyte ram V2 and ryzen 3 2200g .. in bios the xmp profile it’s on it recognizes the ram at 3600 but the clocks are at 2133 why is this happening ?? 😩 2 sticks 2 x 8 gb
hello what are the cas latency for the ram? are they all the same? much thanks
I dont really see any reason to buy highspeed ram for that +5fps bump if you can just buy a gpu down the line.
It's not just games that the benchmarks improve, regular home and office use also improves quite a bit as well. Needless to say the 3000mhz is the sweet spot for the 2200g. If on a budget it may be a better idea to buy 2666mhz and play the silicon lottery and overclock it a little bit if it works out. If not 2666mhz is still a decent speed and you saved money either way.
can we using 3200MHz RAM on A320M Motherboard ?
No...
yes update the bios
Do u use ripjaws or flare?????
is this using the cpu and the igpu or the cpu with another gpu?
Im using 2400 and oc it to 2666. If i change to r3 i guess ill stick for a while with my ram.
*I am still confuse. Pairing R3 2200G with 8GB 3200MHz Memory (Single Channel) vs 8GB+8GB 2133MHz (Dual Channel) ? Which one is better?*
Actually, I am getting, 18 months used 8GB+8GB 2133MHz Memory = 7000 INR ($120) & New 8GB 3200MHz Memory = 9500 INR ($160).
*I have a B350 Motherboard. How much can we over clock both 2133 & 3200 RAM?*
*WHAT SHOULD I DO?*
Hey #Benchmark, I'm still waiting for your reply..
Dual channel (two memory kits are better than single)
Mario Power frequency is also different of both channel, single vs dual
Lucius Sawyer dual channel never doubles performance, it's not 2133 x 2.
How much more performance you get depends, but usually is less than 40%
Dual channel with low freq would still be better than single high freq
Just a question, does it matter if you have a 8gb kit? like 4gbx2? because ram is really expensive here in canada ($100+) and I was gonna go with a Ballistix sport ddr4 8gb 2666 ram (1 stick) because my mobo only has 2 dimm slots (the MSI B350M gaming pro am4 Micro Atx board) and im kinda going on a budget currently but I would be upgrading my mobo and ram later on and buying a gpu when they go down to msrp.
$100????
Are you kidding me?
Buy 3200MHZ, worth it
Who games with integrated graphics? Get slower ram and get a 1080GTX. I think in everyday applications the ram speed does almost nothing. Overclocking produces more heat, uses more electricity and if anything is less stable than running the ram at stock 2133.
This video only applies to people that can't afford a graphics card and have to use the on chip video. I would go for stable ram over overclocked.
I do. Basic games really, as I use my computer for photo editing, video editing etc. As a computer for work I don't need a gpu so my ryzen 3 2200g is more than enough for my needs. But some times I play some games to kill time, as pokemon on Citra emulator. In that example my g skill 2133mhz Cas 15 oc to 3200mhz Cas 18 made a huge difference of 10-12fps+.
@@RS-fi1nl No games at work, hurt productivity. Overclocking a work machine risk instability. Again buy a separate graphics card for gaming not overclocking ram. OC makes very little difference unless you cherry pick, none will compete with separate graphics card.
What are the latencies of them?

2x8 because 4x4 puts more load into the memory controller and you won't be able to get 3200 speeds on most boards and probably be stuck in 2400, also it's very important to buy a supported qvl ram for your motherboard otherwise you might not be able to reach the advertised speeds of your ram
