JUST heard a version of 777 with envelope filter on the bass for the first time, friggin loved it. Great to hear you bust it out for a sec
thanks, one of my favourite effects. Gonna check it out :)
Thank you! I always wanted this pedal.
Great Video!!
Nice review. I use one (the original purple sparkle one) in my cover band to emulate synth sounds. Very versatile pedal.
i need it in my life!
cant wait to jam dorian all day long
I have one of the boring blue ones so maybe it’s different, but what mine means by “decay”is, idiosyncratically, the frequency the envelope ends at. I have a friend who claims to have seen that use elsewhere but he conveniently can’t remember where. I’m not saying that there should be a law, but it is some kind of crime against nature.
Thanks for the review! I'd just ordered one earlier this evening before running into this video... but then I saw your 15th Anniversary edition and immediately cancelled my order. lol Luckily they had some of these so I reordered the all black. Thanks so much!
😂😂😂😂 I’m so glad. Enjoy!
Wow 😮😳 did you fix up your room it looks great
i have the older one but it won't rurn on!! i need help! both cables are good and i have a 9v alimentation.
Hey man. Really nice video. Have had this pedal for a couple of weeks (normal version), but just haven't been able to get it to respond and sound, how I wanted it too. From watching your video it seems I had the decay way too low resulting in those really boomy spikes. But also, I just added a subtle drive in front of it, and now it's really starting to respond. For this video did you have a bit of drive in front of it or just clean?
Great question! Just clean going in. My typical setup (I can tell you without even looking) is Decay: around 4 o’clock Q: 10ish sensitivity 12/1 ish Dry: 12 FX: between 12 and 1 o’clock
Wish you could leave picture comments.
That decay has gotten me and my amp in trouble before.
@@TedTalksBass Just dialing it in exactly like in the video was a great help. And then the subtle drive in front makes it really start to react and get funky. I’m running a passive bass, I’m sure an active maybe wouldn’t need it. And also I turned off my compressor in front, which wasn’t helping either.
