Here is one idli recipe where you don’t have to soak the batter overnight. This is Rava Idli!
Rava idli is an instant Idli which requires no presoaking or pre fermentation at all.
I have shared with you the recipes of 2 Rava Idli 2 ways - plain rava idli and veggie rava idli.
Both the rava idli are equally delicious.
To go with the rava idli I have shared with you the recipe of coconut chutney and gunpowder. The coconut chutney can also be made with desiccated coconut if you do not have fresh coconut. The gunpowder, also known as mulagagpodi, mulgapodi or idli podi, is a dry powder preparation that can turned into a chutney by the addition of ghee or even curds.
These idlis make for an excellent breakfast recipe and evening snacking too.
Try out the rava idli 2 ways and the coconut chutney with the gunpowder and let me know how you liked it!
