I always listen to this when I want to know how to play it. In certain areas his tone is off but the way he's playing is really good. For a 12 year old this is really good.
This kid has a nice sound. I actually use this video as a reference for how I want to play this. I'm 20 and I'm assuming he's younger than that since he doesn't look older than 15 but this goes to show that you can learn from younger players.
crying right now because this is my solo and this guy is playing it like 100x better than me and I practice literally like 3 times every day for about 2-5 hours a day and still can't sound that good

+M' Lady i dont know why age is an explanation for playing at half tempo. He sounds really good and is probably a good player so I don't know why he made the third movement harder by playing it half tempo.
-I am pretty sure this is fake.- -Not just on the factor that it is off sync,- -but you can tell, especially in the 4th movement, that his positions are off, yet the notes come out in tune.- -Also, his Pianist is in sync when he isn't some times.- -Just watch his tuning, he goes to a flat 2nd position for his high C (3rd position) at the end of his second measure of the 4th mvt.- -I am sure there are more mistakes to find here- After looking at this more, this is unlikely to be fake, I blame the faults of recording and compression quality, and mostly the angle at which it has been recorded. It was far too late at night for me to be making conclusions like this, and there is a consistent amount of videos of this same boy playing, which removes most doubts in my mind that this would be fake.
that is, you want to say that the sound without the video you like and you do not believe that this guy can play like that? If so, then this is a great compliment to my son. I recommend listening with closed eyes))) To my regret, I late noticed the discrepancy between sound and video on the recording. Believe me or not believe me is your right. @@neboveter I don't have the position to be calling you wrong with a firm stance, I just noticed some things that threw me off enough to see issues. I know how faulty recording views, compression, and overall quality may affect how it looks. If you are not lying, then it just means that the camera view is off enough for a 3rd position to look like a faulty 2nd. It is early in the morning where I am, so I'll look at it more later. But I will no longer say it is real or fake till I re-watch. Also, sorry if my wording is a bit harsh (such as "Pretty sure"). I will look over all of this again tomorrow and make adjustments accordingly. There is enough evidence for this to be an actual recording, so on that note, this is great playing for the age he looks to be!

He has a nice sound, but he breathes too much. He’s not really connecting the notes, and he’s not playing very confidently. He needs to work on breathing and consistent air stream and tone quality.
Yes I agree, The 1st movement is to be savored. Also, he may be faking it, because there are many instances where his position is wrong, but he comes out in tune.
No offense but it looks like he's faking it once he gets to the second movement. His slide isn't completely together with the playing going on. I showed my mom and asked her what she thought about it and she said the exact same thing I did and she dosent no that much about music.
+Bridgette Harms Thank you for your interest. I do not know why there was a discrepancy of sound with the video. Could it somehow happened during the conversion. Record audio and video recorded at the same time, but the video was going to the camera, and the sound was going to the recorder, and then it was united on the studio.
Bridgette Harms i can tell hes not faking it because hes playing the exact same slide positions as it is in the sheet music. I think its just a problem with the camera and the mic.
its more likely that he is in fact in time but due to the notwes played he looks lke he isnt in time. i dont actually know the piece very well, but some of those notes could easily been on the same partial, another possibility is that he is blowing his note before he actually stops his slide movement

Actually.. I think the third movement is intentionally written much slower than the rest of the piece.
