      you can fix it using iso image of the same OS.

      I am working on grub2. I want to provide authentication for the grub2 menu ; so that a person having the password only can modify the grub2 menu. For that
      I executed the commands below.
      1>
      grub2-mkpasswd-pbkdf2 (which will ask for password , so i given input as "Linux@1" and for that password , it generated encrypted password) ,
      2> then i edited
      /etc/grub.d/01_users file and put
      set superusers = root
      password_pbkdf2 root ,
      3> Then I updated grub .
      4> After that , I rebooted the linux. When I tried to enter grub menu , it asked
      for username and password , so i gave and it entered...so it is providing the authentication .....
      But after the system is up , I can execute the same step above and set a new password...so no protection ultimately...so is there any way to set it permanently? or persistent way ...
