That combination of 558 with the 600-605 Southstar is a pretty good set up. I think we have 3 of those now.

Looks like a good machines . I’m running a 290 linkbelt as I process I sort like u do much better practice then spitting them everywhere … don’t always have a loader operator ! I won’t run loader till it’s ready to be loaded out of

@wantowski987 well the companies I've worked for do hot logging/mechanical logging so i was always taught to put it all in one big pile. but what you're doing, I'd see why sorting wouldn't be bad since everything is already right in front of you.

@pitbullforlife4359 yea just helps speed up the loading, plus they are very anal right now on quality, plus we were loading out 30 loads a day on this unit so the shovel operator was pretty busy just loading trucks lol when he’s not loading he’s out stacking landings or cleaning ditches so everything is done when he loads that last log on the job then onto a lowboy 👌🏻

Which computer does that have? I tried out a 500 w a logmate. I’m use to the logmates from running logmax
