- Two of the Tame Impala boys playing a secret jam/gig live at the BIRD, Perth, Western Australia, going under the name of "Kevin Spacey." Felicity Groom, on vocals, was also featured for a portion of the show. They were also accompanied by Cam Parkin (Cosmo Gets) on keys for the entire set.
The show was mentioned only by word of mouth, luckily, I have a friend in the know! Got to say hello to Kevin after not seeing him for years, that was cool. Pretty solid jam, the keyboard player (Cam) was awesome as well as, of course, Kevin and Cam.
The purpose of the show was to raise funds (Inc a raffle) for a "broke, carless and pregnant Felicity Groom." From what I heard, she was in desperate need of cash for a new car as her's was stolen. Any other Info on this story someone may have would be appreciated.
Sorry about the dark, grainy (with a red line) picture quality folks, it was the best I could do with my Nokia phone at the time, in the venue, as the lighting guy had the place so darkly lit when they started playing. The bright red colour in the video was added to enhance the ridiculously dark, picture quality of the original footage. I was lucky to have even gotten a couple of spots standing up on a bench and a platform to see above the packed-out audience. It was nearly impossible to see the keyboardist, Cam, from where I was standing, as you will see in the video.

Although some people are upset Kevin has been playing/producing less rock music, it's definitely proven whatever he creates is fucking amazing. How can you not jam out to this

+Nick Spratt Common dude, i thougth we all kwow this genre is psychedelic rock but with a lil touch of 2K14 and ahead or electronic (If i did not explain myself corectly)

PsychedelicMaster Much of Currents reminds me of MJ for some reason. KP has clearly got a great brand of pop going on with it and although it's not my favorite album, it still is amazing and I listen to it all the time. There's some great dancing tunes on it too

the beginning jam starts remindin me of just a funky groove with like Pink Floyd keyboard from like the middle of "Dogs", I love how we can take music from the past and blend elements together and make it something completely new, brilliant

I feel like the grainy quality only enhances the feel, as far as the Tame Impala feel, but this is rather new and exciting! I like Kevin Spacey!

A little more info for you all: At 17:56, I step down off the bench, that I was originally videoing from, and on to a little platform for the better view. Starting at 19:08, you will hear this covno between me and a random girl: Girl: "Filming? Or taking pictures?" Me:"Filming", Girl:"Can I groove or, is it OK if I groove?", Me:"OK. Can I stand there, when ya dance?"(I wanted to move to her side of the platform for an even better view, of course!) It's funny hearing that back on the video.

Twenty years from now I can almost guarantee 18 year old kids will be watching this video on the internet and thinking 'holy shit I wish I would have been old enough to go see that'. My only problem is I live on the other side of the fucking country, so Kevin Parker should definitely play in Sydney more, regardless of the name of his band.

Apparently they just played their second show last night, Dec. 21. Someone needs to upload the footage for the rest of us who don't live in Australia!
I was there, and I would have filmed their entire set, but Kevin had a dude stop me doing so (non physically). This "dude", who booked the show, informed me Kevin wasn't happy with my previous videos and didn't want the 2nd gig videoed as it's early stages for them, and he's a perfectionist and wants only the best for the masses of his fans to hear/witness.

Does anyone else know where the other video of live AAA Aardvark Getdown Services has gone? It was a video of someone recording on a sidewalk, just outside of the outdoor venue, and then the video cuts to him inside the show. Does anyone remember seeing this??? The second track is like one of my personal favorite vocal riffs Kevin has ever uttered, and I dream of the day a mastered version is made available.
