LMAO, I love it..."So what is your experience?". " I don't know it's just in my head" This video is worth a million views easily. Keep this guy around he is UA-cam gold buddy.
We agree, Amos is YT gold :-) As for experience, if you notice in the vid, Amos can turn his hand to almost anything from building a HUGE remote control car from scratch to model boats !!! He really is amazeballs lol We are pretty sure there is nothing he could not build ! Thanks for watching, Jay & Laura
Seriously, Amos deserves his own mainstream TV show. Him and Guy Martin would be amazing to watch building all sorts of crazy vehicles and machines... Somebody phone the Quest TV channel quick!
Yep your spot on with that, Amos would be TV Gold..... We will have to do with YT gold for the time being though. Thanks for watching, Atb, Jay & Laura
Hi There, welcome aboard.... Updates will be during the summer when the weather gets better, too cold to be working outdoors at the mo without a workshop :-(
the best people are slightly mad! Amos reminds me abit of Fred Dibnah. How cool. Im a transit man myself, but am doing a sort of conversion to day van/basic camper. enjoyed this vid and would enjoy seeing the full conversion of this sprinter/LT35
Hi there, yep we are transit peeps too converting our xlwb minibus... Just subbed you, looking forward to seeing the conversion :-) I think now that you are the 8th to mention Fred Dibnah lol Thanks for watching, Atb, Jay & Laura
Me too lol, thanks for the sub..... Checked out your channel A+ for the content ;-) however cant return the sub, My eyes are open but with a paranoid view if you know what I mean haha I dont wanna stick flags on our heads, will check back for a nosey every now and again to see what you have uploaded though, Atb, Jay
Hi! Hey it’s been 6 hrs since this vid aired. I am very curious how your friend’s stretched van conversion went. I’d welcome more vids on his stretched van project. Thank you.
Great glad you like the idea as much as me :-) Thanks for watching Desmond, Atb, Jay...... PS, just had a nosey at your channel and subbed you (no idea why I haven't sen it before !), will have a sift through your vids in my YT watching spare time lol ;-)
has amos finished his sprinter cause i would like to stretch a transit crew cab pickup, and i need it legaly regestered and wheelbase edided by DVLA on log book ,great idea i wish him luck, today is 19th jan 2020 thanks bye
I love people like him. So many ideas in his head, he hasn't enough hands to do them all at once! 😆🤣👍 btw, is the van now complete!? P. S New subscriber 🙋♂️🤗
This van on hold for the same reason as ours is.... the weather !!! filming will resume when the weather gets better.... Yep Amos certainly is a character :-) Thanks for watching, Atb, Jay & Laura
I asked him a few days ago if he is ready for us to do an update... He says he is still working on the hydraulic up & down side door thingamabobs. I will be sure to get an update as soon as possible, don't worry :-)
Hi Jennifer, From what Amos has told me, the van has to go to do some kind of test when finished and be able to turn on a smallish roundabout ! I didnt go into details with him about it but I am sure there will be a vid on it when the van continues when the weather gets better here. Thanks for watching, Atb, Jay & Laura
He deffo will, no idea when though, like you said "he is a project man", he has a few projects all running simultaneously though, model warship, campervan, remote control buggy !!!! and prob others I dont know about lol.... He is a genius though :-)
All very well making it longer but it is going to be very restricted on axle weight. It cannot carry any more weight than original one Which means sod all now with the extra weight of the body. Lots of people come unstuck making campers and they do not realise how close to the weight limits the vans are, even factory ones are like it. I see that at least it is twin wheel but still not good.
Hi Graham, you are delving into areas we personally know nothing about, however, knowing Amos he has thoroughly researched his build, that's what he does, he is a very clever guy :-) Thanks for watching, Atb, Jay & Laura
You make a good point - one that a lot of self-builders don't think about when they get to work lining their vans with heavy timber panelling. However, if this is a twin-wheel Merc then it could potentially be up to 5.5 Ton. The only time that becomes an issue is for young drivers without 7.5T rights on their licences or for road tolls in countries like Austria where anything over 3.5T is treated as commercial and has to have a 'Go Box' fitted at the border.
It appears to be an LT35 ie 4200 kg with air springs on the rear, The other van was a twin wheel on not the extension. one. VOSA will make it very difficult to have a cut and shunt on the road . They have a hate on them ever since the failures of car made from the same method and using stolen cars and other legit bits. from years ago, regardless of how they are done even with a chassis. FIAT do a cab for Alco chassis that are made specifically in the factory with bolt together plates and they are type approved as such.. Paperwork rules the world nowadays so very good luck to him with it, but be prepared for disappointment.
You're right about that! DVLA are fussy enough just about changing the type designation from van to camper on the V5. I must admit, I've always been interested in the idea of using the back doors to create some kind of 'slide out' so that the vehicle still drove like a shorter van but gave you more interior space when parked up for the night. Oh well. One day!
Mmmmmm I'm not sure how the dvsa peeps will view the build, particularly joining the chassis. I know they can stretch tractor units into rigid trucks (18 tonner) but I dread to think of the hoops to get it approved when he tells the DVLA of the change to motorcaravan
Cool let us know if you upload any progress reports or how to vids or even picture galleries to your channel and we will sub and follow your progress too :-)
Yep I think so to, what a find, this is "UA-cam gold" :-) There isn't many people about like Amos ! I cant wait to see the progress on this. Thanks for watching and for your comment, Atb, Jay
Nice to see an English guy doin something like this, co's utube is full of yanks doin this sort of stuff. It'll be interesting to see the finished motor. Best of luck.
Wish I had his skills and expertise :-) And after seeing the intricate work on the model boats and the remote buggy I believe you ! When you say he isn't wired right though, what/who are you using as a right verses wrong level indicator ?? He is not an average Joe I will give you that but I think he is wired just how he should be, and we are all the better for it :-) Thanks for watching and for the comment, All the best, Jay
Just thought, my reply sounds a bit like I spat my dummy out, wasn't meant to be, I just have a way with words lol.... Rest assured no offence intended :-) Jay
Yep I know.... I couldnt for the life of me remember the VW model name (LT35) when I was making the thumbnail for the vid, so it got called sprinter, lol, soz if it offends. Jay
well at 14:30 you said you'd follow Amos's progress on his boat project and even stated that you'd be following his van build (if there was sufficient interest) but looked on both your channels and not a thing so disappointing and realistically such a lost opportunity to increase your own subs
Lol I like this guy he's not fazed by all the work at all
I love what he are doing!!!!! Been thinking about this myself ♥️
Yes please show lots more of this van build. I had the same idea, but don’t have the money and resources to do it. But it’s always been a dream to do.
Thanks, filming will start again when the weather gets better. Thanks for watching.
We just subbed you too, Atb, Jay & Laura

Please share Amos project! 👏👏👏 💋
I asked him a few days ago if he is ready for us to do an update... He says he is still working on the hydraulic up & down side door thingamabobs. I will be sure to get an update as soon as possible, don't worry :-)
Update please this is awesome
It sounds fascinating, but are there any restrictions regarding the length?
Hi Jennifer, From what Amos has told me, the van has to go to do some kind of test when finished and be able to turn on a smallish roundabout !
I didnt go into details with him about it but I am sure there will be a vid on it when the van continues when the weather gets better here.

Thank you for clarifying!
Jay i've got no doubt he'll do it because he doesn't mind dirtying his hands. He's a project man, his minds always on the next job.
He deffo will, no idea when though, like you said "he is a project man", he has a few projects all running simultaneously though, model warship, campervan, remote control buggy !!!! and prob others I dont know about lol.... He is a genius though :-)
Is it finished yet? I would love to see the finished product
hey there, the UK is a bit cold at the mo but when the weather gets better things will start moving forward :-)
Cant wait
I'd love to see more of the stretched sprinter,is this build near complete?
Very awesome! Can't wait to see how this turns out.
very interesting build this, please stop the music tho
I feel like I just witnessed the birth of vankenstein
Looking forward to seeing the end product, as he must have some skills to this properly
I would like to see the van also.
Amos should be continuing with the build within the next few weeks as the weather is improving now :-)
Thanks for watching, Atb, Jay
I want to see more. From the Pacific Northwest USA. 31 foot in European roads? Aren't they to narrow and winding for that length?
Any more updates?.... Bring it on 😀👍🏻
Am waiting for Amos to get back to me to nip over and do some filming. Atb, Jay

Wish I had his skills and expertise :-) And after seeing the intricate work on the model boats and the remote buggy I believe you ! Yep I know.... I couldnt for the life of me remember the VW model name (LT35) when I was making the thumbnail for the vid, so it got called sprinter, lol, soz if it offends. Jay

You must be the 5th or 6th person to say that hahahaha
Should get Guy Martin to help
Could do with him helping, Guy Martin is a "speed" kinda guy whereas Amos is a more chillaxed "it'l be done when it's done" kinda guy lol
well at 14:30 you said you'd follow Amos's progress on his boat project and even stated that you'd be following his van build (if there was sufficient interest) but looked on both your channels and not a thing so disappointing and realistically such a lost opportunity to increase your own subs

This van will be stopped in norway sweden and denmark 😅 this wont be legal in many european lands
Hi Rune Rafell, Why is that ?
All he did was walk around and talk
