Dre. Baldwin, I respect your phrase "you can't UA-cam your way to...basketball skills," but Man, I have to say both my daughter and son made their respective middle and high school teams from those VERY UA-cam videos!. Other factors played into their success, but watching, applying #WOYG, and playing often at the YMCA, in addition to school game play, has helped sooooo much. We home school, (but our school system allows us to participate in school sports), and with your step by step skills break down, it's like having our own personal trainer. In the past we were only football, baseball and soccer family, but in six months, my son became a starter and my daughter dresses (with some playing time) on the varsity team. #WordsCanNotExplain how much your videos have helped. Thanks again, from 'Now ballin' in Tennessee!!!
Congrats! You must be a proud father. That statement is more semantics than saying not to watch at all -- I'm on here after all -- but I get your point
Im 36 and I've played at a pretty high level once upon a time. However I'm slowly getting back into things and even for a guy with my experience these videos are definitely gold. Short and to the point and all basis are covered. I've been applying some of your drills and everythings coming back. This account is amazing for ballers from all walks of life novice or advanced. I would recommend this channel to anyone.
dude if you practice everyday you get better, honestly ive done this for a year now i do it like 3-4 times a week. This drill is about the fundamentals and to be good at anything you need to master the fundamentals.
Appreciate it man. That one line, " there are no excuses " just hit me. Thanks for letting me know and reminding about that Dre! By the way, your videos honestly help me everytime I practice them.
practicing handling will improve handling. you can also practice while moving, ie doing drills while running the court or moves in the halfcourt as if there were a defender there
Dre I ordered your hoop handbook package 7-8 months back, I've been working out on and off the court like in your handbooks and I can now easily say I am a LOT better than I ever was. I made a successful transition from the post to a perimeter player, and I expect to make my D1 college team this fall, thanks to you! #workonyourgame
finally, ive been looking for good ways to improve my handles! your drills are easy to understand an they look proper effective! you got quick hands to bro!
I remember last month i couldn't even dribble without looking at the ball, after about a week everyday of practice i can now go behind the back and do spin moves ty so much dre! Never knew practice was THAT effective lol
Dre, My school's tryouts are coming up, and I've been hard at work (of course - I could only prove that through my actions). I recognize my handles and perhaps my left hand layup are the weakest points. I'm gonna go deep within your ball handling playlist to help myself out! Really appreciate all the content that you've put out over the years.
Wow. saw this vid yesterday. I did the drills 500x each. 2 morning 2 after noon and 1 night. i played my friend at around 9-ish. and my handles actually improved in 1day. thanks for all the help. surprised this actually worked :)
