Just like his variable namesake, he's capable of creating limitless possibilities to *win*
I wish there were more animes where characters are really smart. And there is a massive difference between telling us a character is smart vs showing it to us.
Most animes tend to use quotes from other characters and some stereotypes to make it feel like some character is smart. The better way was shown in Death Note, where anime states first that Light is the best student, and then we've seen his thoughts and actions that were well thought.
But for me it's actually the best when anime doesn't tell you anything and you figure it out yourself over time.
COTE makes intelligent people look more intelligent.
EXACTLY, Ive been saying this since forever and your the first person i’ve seen who said it. Its like shikumaru from Naruto, no real impressive feats that get him up where his statements are. Authors gotta be more creative.

YEAH
Ayanokouji is one of the best manipulators and most intelligent anime characters of all time. I put him up there alongside Light Yagami and Lelouch.
He's just getting started too
He needs to be somehow thrown in Death Note and we see how he acts.
I'd say his blank face and martial arts are the only thing that's superior to others. Everything else is unknown.

@@vintce6019 He is obviously more intelligent than Light and L. Both Light and L had emotions which is a weakness. Also Light made many mistakes because his decisions were very impulsive. But Ayanokouji is very calm and he would had manipulate Light.
