Can we boondock with a residential refrigerator? 7 month update- What I really think!

- Welcome Everyone, well it's been over 6 months since we did the big RV fridge swap last summer and we have had a lot of questions, how did we get it in there? did we film the install? and the biggest question I had was.. Can we still boondock as much as I did before? Hopefully this answers the questions and more. Cheers! Dave

Our coach came with residential fridge and we love it and would never go back to propane👍

Wow! You really wanted a residential fridge in your rig! I'm glad you still like it and it still works for you. We really appreciate the ice maker! LOL Thanks for the ice while we were out of power!

Wow! That was quite the project! I’m so glad it was worth it. The look on Chris’s face was priceless LOL The pizza looks great. Lori and Tom are NOT “B” role they are “A Listers” in our book! 😃

12v compressor is an option! I think Mortons on the move installed one, I haven't seen an update if they like it?

One thing you don't clarify is how much battery amp you have along with that 400-600 watts of solar?
Hey Matt, at that time the coach had 580 watts of solar and (6) 6 volt golf cart batteries (usable amps est less than 200ah) Generator run time on average was 2 hrs a day, since then added 1k watts solar and 4 li batteries which has brought Gen run time down to 1 hr per week (could be less without cooking, coffee maker, TV etc) Still running the same fridge, still boondock 200+ days a year, still highly recommend a residential fridge 👍 Dave
