- An American army officer filmed the revue right after the war in 1948 called 'Book of Night Cranes/Aloha 'Oe', by the Snow Troupe 1948. The quality is not best, but then, it is kind of an historical document. Viewers tell me that the show is 'Book of Night Cranes/Aloha 'Oe', Snow Troupe 1948. The main performers are Kasygano Tachiyo-sama (born in 1928) and Otowa Nobuko

Kasugano Yachiyo died last year of pneumonia. She was in her mid-to late nineties. Definitely a historical clip, though - what I think is amazing is that the "sound" is still there - the sound of an otokoyaku. :]
too bad the otokoyaku in question is todoroki yuu, who didn't join the company until 1985... :/

Oldest living Takarazuka actress is Kasugano Yachiyo. She debut in 1928. In fact, one of the actresses in a white tux looks like her. She was the troupe leader of the Snow troupe from 1945-1950.

I have been able to verify it... with help of a 'Takarazuka Ranger' :D The show is 'Book of Night Cranes/Aloha 'Oe', Snow Troupe 1948. The main performers are Kasugano Yachiyo and Otowa Nobuko.
I wonder if any of the actors in the show are still alive and watching this on YT. It would bring back good memories I imagine.
