Only because of rafa I started watching tennis . Did not know the rules of tennis , did not know what 250’s , 500’s.1000’s , GS’s tournaments were there . Did not know all the court surfaces before watching him . This I am taking about before year 2005 .
Had no interest in watching tennis before.
It will be very heart breaking after nadal retires . Don’t know which player to root for after nadal or maybe the interest will wear off in watching tennis

I don't think we'll see anything like this for any other player, ever. And I don't think we'll see any other player like him when he was in his prime on clay. He was a superhuman. He was a UFO. He played with Roger like a cat with a dead mouse in that RG final. And I love Roger, so it is not against him. Roger, arguably one of the greatest players of all time won 4 games against him in a best of five final. Rafa was out of this world on clay, especially in Paris. I'll miss him so much.
Because they know it was his last apperiance in Rome ATP 1000.
I will miss his presence in tournaments.
My consolation (poor one)is I can watch my downloads.
I was there....the crowd was there for the whole day since its weekend and people wanted to watch all the players since the tickets this year are cheaper...rafa hasnt made any retirement announcement yet...no one came just for rafa as its shown...rafa was given this honor to walk in the balcony only because he may not come back next year !!

Nadal is a unique champion. Something about him that roger and djokovic lack. I only watch women's tennis and his matches. Perhaps i like those happy colours and his 3/4 pants at the start of his career. And also because i tend to enjoy watching lefties. I believe nadal is sad that his body is not up to it and forced to retire. Tennis is his life. So sad he has to leave his first love. Enjoy your life after tennis. All the best to you.
