Zubeida is a masterpiece. I adore this film. It's inspired from a true story. Zubeida was actually an actress who married a Jodhpur Prince. This is Karishma's best work.
Zubeida is part of a trilogy. Mammo, Sardari Begum & and then Zubeida. The movies can be watched as standalones but the story and some characters do overlap.
The wife can initiate a divorce in Islam. Having mediated in different divorce proceedings Muslims tend to have one of the more simpler processes. Harder are those that require the husbands consent or lengthy expensive legal proceedings
Yes of course very simple and quick one. A man can send talak divorce by post on Facebook Instagram WhatsApp or phone or just say in anyways without the wife being present there. 😂Or just say wife talak 3 Times in 3 seconds and it's a confirmed divorce. Very hassle free. Ask women🤭😂

What a sad mentality you have... aren't south indians subscribed to them? Don't they know their own movies? Reaction to south films is NOT the reason for the drop in views. It's because Rick has had a negative attitude for a long time now and people got fed up.

I have subscribed to another channel and I realied that they have lot more views them OSR but only cus they react to all hindi movies tht are really famous but are not actually good and at the end all they have to say is good about the movie even if it's not
@@AnrichRodrigues this has nothing to do with "honesty". Rick has repeatedly texted or zoned out during reactions, which is rude, and missed what was going on which meant his "honest reviews" are difficult to take seriously. He also has a track record of saying nonsensical things (example: Super Deluxe is bad because the movie doesn't condemn porn), failing to listen to other viewpoints and using ridiculous "arguments" to try to prove his distorted interpretations are the correct ones.
When you portray the situation as "people dislike him because he's honest" you're just turning a blind eye to the actual reasons. And what about Korbin? Isn't Korbin honest? Ask yourself why his honesty is accepted if you think that it's the issue people have with Rick.
What a horrible horrible review. They are barely watching the movie and all those memes and judgmental comments? Just takes away from the gravity of a beautiful film. No wonder they are losing viewership…..

Finally! You are watching this gem! It is hauntingly stunning. So many wonderful actors creating memorable scenes, very moving dialogues and of course AR Rehman's music. This movie is based on the true story of Zubeiaa, who was an actress and her son, a journalist/writer who goes to search for his mother's history. What happened to her? The journalist/writer in real life is Khalid Mohammed, the writer of this movie. It is like a tribute to the mother he never knew. I love how Shyam Benegal depicts Zubeida's fragile, vulnerable yet determined character in such a beautiful and heartbreaking way. They used real palaces/cars/jewellery, etc, thanks to the royal family of Rajesthan. Hence it feels authentic.
Women can divorce too in Islam by the way. She can demand the jurist for a separation on valid reasons of course. It can even be granted if the woman is not happy with her husband, even on physical grounds.
Super happy to see you guys react to this movie! I watched it when I was too young to understand much of it, but I still knew it was special and strangely heartbreaking. It was not a comercial success I suppose and was therefore rendered obscure (as many of the comments here testify lol) but I do still think it deserves due accolades for its vision and the performances of all actors involved

You guys should react to '1947 Earth' (1998). It's a near-perfect movie (directed by Deepa Mehta) released around the same time as this movie and is based on events around the India-Pakistan partition. It has your nanbar Rahman's best soundtrack and score, imo (peak ARR) and also one of the best performances from Aamir Khan. It's a great candidate for a watch-along (runtime of 1hr 50m) but at the very least you should watch it and review it.

This is not a south movie. It is a film a by Shyam Benegal. It won the National Film award. It is a lovely film and has a niche but cult following. It might not be to your taste and that's fine, but as reactors they have to watch and please a wide variety of people. Why do they only have to watch what you like ?

It is tragic that people don't know this National award winning movie based on a true story. Let people reject a film after watching it, they have every right to it. But rejecting a movie on hearsay is so stupid. Why should they watch only popular movies? As reactors they should watch many things.There are people who have seen this film, like it and would like to share their experience with OSR.

@@ninipookie I think a healthy balance of making content for views and for personal interest is best way to be ...and you can even be analytical about it by think/research of the content that can both be good for views and is a great content ...as a youtuber there's nothing wrong with taking views in consideration when selecting videos to react ..it's necessary for the survival of the channel ..as a content creator one have to be smart enough to figure out when he needs to do it for views and when for the personal interest and when for both and keep trying new things that are trendy or all time successful that they don't know they might like...and based on their declining views I don't think their selection of content is good enough....maybe this particular movie might have done well if their overall views are good but bcoz that's not the case even this video is struggling to get views
