I think you guys should do a new vid with all the 2.0s considering the new m led is dropping. You got the koito bi led 2.0, profile 2.0, ups, and all the others.

The lower colour temperature on the Osram projectors on high beam is pretty neat. I drive in a lot of snow in winter, and my LED bar with it's 6000K is useless when the snow become just a little bit thick.
Definitely a unique feature we've yet to see from anybody else. Still have those guys in stock too!

It could be a sealing issue, Try getting the headlights completely dried out and look for any openings or signs of water entry.
Any kits for 2005 Neonsrt4?
I’m just not sold on LED for headlamp use...I don’t mind most OEM LED’s but I’d much rather go with HID for aftermarket. I tried LED in two different vehicles and ended up returning both times and going HID lol. 🤷🏻♂️
OEM LEDs are generally underwhelming to say the least. Something like an M-LED would best 95% of OEM LED projectors by a long shot in both intensity and even light distribution.

TheRetrofitSource Inc That will def be cool to see. My experiences have solely been on simply replacing the stock halogen bulbs for LED’s and using the existing OEM projectors/reflector lenses. I think had I found you guys before OPT7, I would still have LED’s. Going from halogen to HID’s in the two vehicles I owned just worked better than going from halogen to LED, as far as using the factory set up.
I have to say though, I just hooked up my Morimoto 4500k HID’s in my car that I got from you guys and I am in LOVE with how they’ve turned out! Even with the stock projector housing. Installation was a breeze, thanks to your vids here and customer service has been awesome too! 👌🏽👍🏽

We sure do! Check out the Morimoto 2stroke LED bulbs! It's a great upgrade, you just need to know your bulb type.

Funny thing....people keep harping on the projectors for LED, but my 2017 Freightliner Cascadia uses a purpose-designed LED REFLECTOR housing. They are great to drive behind, unfortunately oncoming traffic doesn't appreciate them as much.
I'm betting, with further refinement, the LED-specific reflector housings will win over projectors for LED applications. At least from what I've been able to see in real-world use so far.
The reflectors aren't bad at all, no doubt about it! The projectors provide a better aeshetic though, but performance wise we agree reflectors aren't too shabby.
I agree, I have that truck too. Does anyone make those reflectors for cars yet?

Whats the M at 6:50 and why do they all have that little diagonal lines in the middle? Do they face the other direction in right hand drive countrires?
Exactly, that slope faces the other direction in countries that drive on the other side of the road. Provides extra light for you as the driver, and limits glare to oncoming traffic. The M is just for decor

There are quite a variety. The Morimoto MLED uses a proprietary chipset made by Seoul Semiconductor though
which projector does morimoto use in their xb led headlight assemblies?
The projector will vary depending on the headlight and what can fit, but they're all Bi-Kuria projectors
The only issue I have with these Projector housings is that the high beam does not have width, they are focused on a single point on the road and some of us really want to see not only the road but the road side as well
You have to remember that when you have your high beam on, that is intended to shine way down the road. When you are looking at that light at 700-1000 feet back, it will totally illuminate the entire road and surrounding area! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!

We sell multiple LED projectors shown in this video. Each have their strong points, and different weak points. It really comes down to what fits your needs- pure raw power? width? good balance of brightness and width? foreground? etc...
I’m trying to go for a projecter that gives the best blue hue from certain angles. Any recommendations? An what bulb gives that best blue hue. If you send me links to the best ones out there that give the blues I’d greatly appreciate it for a 2012 Honda civic for HID bulb

The Morimoto MLED has the brightest hot spot of all these at around 540 lux on our beam wall. They can be ran on 12V DC for sure

A quality LED bulbs can only go as far as the optics allow. If you're looking for a higher performing LED system we recommend swapping out your projectors and LED bulbs for this Bi-LED setup from Morimoto.

2014 was the first year koito led projectors were offered in the corolla amd iirc, the camry. was not a bi-LED, best performing LED low beam on the market, but paired with a halogen high beam. koito's bi-led is a very good projector and offers just about maximum legal output/intensity on both low and high beam

I was following your video for quite a time. I've a car which had halogen projector. The light is not that bright in highways. In from India and if you do little research, you will see that all cars run high beams and they have extra headlights. They don't care about the on coming trrafic. So my question is to increase my light out put what can I do? Shall I go to HID as I've halogen projector or I can go to LED?
HID would be a great upgrade for your stock halogen projector and require little extra effort. If you want to add extra light to the high beams, we would recommend LED - since it can instantly flash on/off without any reliability concerns

How do I open the lens from its place
To remove a headlight lens you would need to warm up the sealant around the edges, an oven or heat gun could work!
Are NHK IV plus lens is good for my kia forte ?

Uh, no. Didn't you watch the video? The G5 is a Bi-xenon projector that they fitted with an LED bulb. The result was terrible.

No DMEX led projector huh? It's better than the MLED (which is a pretty good projector).
i had been tried DMEX/ AES A2 bi-led projector, it's definitely better than MLED.
what version of dmex projector: seul semiconducter or osram led inside ?
obviously they aren't going to show products better than the ones they sell...why would they do that?

О чем тут говорить, если они не показали результаты штатного който модуля? А так рекламируют свои моримото, которые номер 6 справа, второе место по свету занимает номер семь справа, его можно на алике купить у Yufanya Store за 6500руб. В России они продаются как Alpha5 и имеют очень крутые отзывы, мне в принципе тоже понравились, как светят.
No Hella units? I thought Hella has all sorts of led projectors? I would think that those would be the "industry standards."
Hella does indeed, but they're not really retrofitter-friendly like these aftermarket options (excluding the Koito and Osram projector we included - since they're compact and have integrated mounting points - The Koito is arguably the best OEM Bi-LED projector though, even with Hella included too)

Same thing! Hella Gen 5 is the Audi Q5 projector, but good question!
@@RetrofitSource according to a VERY reputable source (LW) it's my understanding the Q5R Projector is actually a relative of the Morimoto/Profile D2S 3.0 Projector while the G5R is based off the original Hella G5 Projector as is the D2S 4.0...

It really depends on what your needs are! We'll be releasing a new video in the next week that goes over the differences between HID, LED, and halogen in factory projectors.

The dust cap will have no effect on it working or not :). Because you have factory projectors, with a bracket the M-LEDs would be bolt-on. You just need to run a pass-through on the dust cover. We sell those in "build materials" on our website!

The projectors we choose to make the TRS catalog are picked because they are top performers, not the other way around :). The data speaks for itself!

In a lot of ways it comes down to preference.
I can decide without a test by myself. I had switched to a Taochis bi-led projector, but I will still be left with a bi-xenon 3.0 projector. I'll wait for the bi led and the laser to calm down the prices. The cut off of the hotspot of the bi leds don’t be satisfactory today. I’ll wait...
