Cheers John! Enjoying this little series of yours. I really want to ride some BDRs on my 250l so I appreciate the BDR feedback. And ya, the shots on Instagram are stellar👍🏻
Really enjoying the daily reports. You may have done this before but what about bear risks when camping on the BDRs? We don’t have such concerns in Australia but in 1990 I was camped at Radium Hot Springs BC and in the night my tent was moving. Next morning the fellow beside me who was in a bus said they watched an adolescent bear circling my tent. I assume it is very rare.
Watching you ride a legit dirt-bike around the back-country solo with only what you can stuff in those bags and find in towns on the cheap is what it’s all about. Few people are rugged, durable and experienced enough to pull it all off without a lot of drama, complaining and injuries and we can go watch countless others do it much more comfortably- and still complain. Sorry about your numb/sore ass but someone gotta do it on a thumper 450.
Thank you John for the BDR answers as that was exactly what I was looking for. I have a GSA1200 and a CRF450RL. I know it is personal preference but would you ever suggest a bigger bike for a BDR?
Look mom no hands! 😁
Great way to finish the video. Love the scenery. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!

No food in the tent, otherwise it’s very rare to be attacked.
@@JohnTYoung I had all my food in a pannier inside the tent fly, a real no no.

See you're working on your morning person, coming along nicely :)

Hey, I complain plenty. I whine some too. 🥲
How was it staying in a hostel? Never have done that before.
It was … different. Mostly cheaper
Audio not synced again???
Ya. Just that first clip. Adobe Rush is weird. I’ll figure it out. Or I won’t.

Totally depends on the BDR and the rider. But Yes. The Tenere 700 would work well too.
John .. what tires are you using for this trip?
Day 6? Motoz RallZs.
@@JohnTYoung Thanks John .. Stay safe and keep the videos coming :)
I love Americana..... It breaks my heart to see people try to destroy it or mischaracterize it as something negative or something not to be proud of.
Yup
