Metallic pigments tend to take over so adding gold sparingly, more of the transparent pigment and a good flood of clear to pull them all into each other will work every time. I created this effect months ago by accident and it wasn't easy to recreate until I studied what I actually did the first time. 😅 Your coasters turned out beautiful 😍. I love the gold!
That gold is spectacular- lovely contrast with that (Mixol #23) Dark Brown Oxide. I just ordered that color to mix with my existing metallic mica powders. Can’t wait to go into ‘the Lab’ to do some experiments with your colors and maybe a slight variation of this color range- I think I will use just the one gold color after seeing your experiment. Thank you so much for your demonstration, I learned a lot.
