  • Episode #787
Brandon Turner achieved financial independence in his late 20s. For most people, this would be the end of working, investing, or trying to better themselves. But for Brandon, this was only the start. Now a decade later, Brandon is managing close to one billion dollars in real estate, running numerous companies, and dedicating his efforts to eradicating human trafficking while simultaneously setting millions of Americans financially free. Brandon has, in almost every way, won the game of life, and he has five crucial tips to share with us today.
Back in the Sea Shed are long-time co-hosts Brandon and David as they travel back in time and revisit the five most important lessons learned on this podcast. These lessons aren’t just crucial in achieving financial independence. When taken to heart and implemented correctly, they will allow you to level up your life, relationships, friendships, and businesses. They will also set you apart from the 99% of people who want success but refuse to go out and get it.
From lessons about spilled sewage to podcast recordings gone wrong, designing the life you want to live, and taking ownership when everything starts falling apart, this is an episode you cannot afford to miss. If you want to achieve financial freedom, start living your dream life, and live a life like Brandon, you’ll have to tune in.

I just realized that this is what I miss about BP, it's MINDSET building. Yes the technical actual steps are important to build your winning portfolio of properties but without the proper mindset it either not happen or it will be a long difficult struggle. The mindset that I developed from my early years of consumption of BP has played a huge part of my success in the Realestate world. You guys are a great team and are awesome at this mindset training. Keep it going.

11:00 this must be why patents per capita is so tightly correlated to 1) strong safety nets, and 2) expectations of future growth.
Turns out, most of us do pretty well when we're not literally fearing for our lives. Fear is a reality distortion lens--a wonderful adaptation for temporary distress, but a horrible adaptation for chronic financial duress, job uncertainty, etc.

Great point about freedom (and the pursuit of it) leading to slavery.
Thats exactly why I don't frame my definition of "financial freedom" around the concepts of purpose, mission and/or values. These could just lead to more work/slavery.

As a woman listening to you guys talk about asking girls out makes me laugh. I will say they probably just weren’t really interested at first and so they brushed it off hoping you’d forget or wouldn’t ask again. This has happened to me where a guy kept expressing interest and eventually I said yes but at first wasn’t interested at all so you just play it off and kind of act oblivious. But David when you say she said she forgot lol she definitely didn’t 😂 that’s something she just said. If she was interested she wouldn’t have forgot I promise. Also during intimate time, this may just be me, but I think you should just make a move. Don’t ask.
