That was the game of the week! Memphis got a gem of a win this week.Hey folks, I think this USFL thing 😉 is about to explode! Football should always be this good!!
Offense wins games and defense wins championships!
That defense has been the strongest in the league all season (minus that Philly game) and now the offense is starting to roll!
With the Showboats showing out the way they are, let's hope so!
They are one of the best and they are coming for that playoff spot

The Showboats have sure turned things around since week 3
Jesus, in this league, every team competes against eachother pretty evenly. All teams have at least 2 wins, and all teams have at least 2 losses, 6 games into the season. I've never even seen an AFC or NFC standings chart so well balanced before.
Not comparable lol. You can compare 2 of them and it happens every yr. Ppl come up w/the weirdest takes. Everything must be historic, 1st time evr lol
My point is there isn't a big drop off in strength between the teams of this league. Most of the games have been pretty close, nobody is undefeated, and nobody is shut out... even the under .500 teams played well fought games. Of course the NFL is a lot stronger as a league, and has many more teams, but it's nice to see a series of 2 way games every weekend, instead of watching top teams absolutely demolish the rejects, and having maybe a few great games out of 12 to 15 games a week.
@@thevolatilitywhisperer7616 plus small 8 team leagues are much easier to keep up with.
Memphis and Houston are always a good rivalry no matter what sport! 🤷🏽♂️

This was a fun game! In my opinion the most physical USFL game this season. Mark Thompson trucking those two defenders for Memphis and laying them out like bowling 🎳 pins on that 2nd TD run, only to to be answered promptly by Memphis for the game winning TD and the interception as Houston was threatening. Initially i liked the XFL better, however some of the games the last 2 weekends are evening that competition.
Nice to see fans in the stands.

I think the Showboats have the best uniforms in the league. The color scheme works well

While Memphis is currently the lone team in the division on its current upward trend, the records of the restof the division looks like it means the Showboats have to run the table in order to secure a spot in the playoffs.
Which is doable but still an arduous task (NJ, Birmingham, and New Orleans are left). Still, no matter the outcome, with the past 4 games, I've seen enough fight in this team to feel comfortable with it being 'Memphis' Team'. Now to get rid of the whole 'hub city' model so the city can get some REAL fandom going here and I'll be happy.
Despite losing to the Memphis Showboats my Houston Gamblers were the better team than the Memphis Showboats in my opinion.

You know what drives me nuts?! Watching a tight end. Big body. Tall AF. Try to juke or finesse a guy. Just lower your pad level. Use the power in your legs and run a guy over. #80 for Memphis doing that drives me nuts

What they didn't show you: the absurd amount of penalties they called on the Showboats. Houston would've only had 3 points the first half, due to Memphis blocking their FG attempts. They also didn't show when one of the Gamblers got obliterated by the Boats in the 2nd quarter.

The only reason i like the XFL for than this league is as a viewer the viewing experience is consistent. This game is showing audio problems from the start and i cant hear crowd noise. The USFL needs to host games in their own cities and crank up the crowd mics if they wanna compete with the XFL .
usfl has no fan base....it will NOT last! XFL will grow....these two leagues need to merge!
