I had 2 miscarriages before having my daughter. God knows what he is doing we just have to believe and have faith in him. Thank you for these conversations.

"Sometimes it takes a mountain...." That song with this revelation has so much more meaning. I'm so glad for your openness. My daughter had 3 girls and wanted a boy, so they kept trying. She lost the next 2 children at 3 no the and st 5 months. Each time, she was at risk. They decided to stop trying. My heart broke for them. What is amazing to me, is those heart aches will be healed in Heaven.

I had a miscarriage on Christmas Day in 2016. We were so devastated and sad. But God blessed us again. And our baby girl was born the day after Christmas in 2017. 366 days after our miscarriage we were welcoming our second child.

Hey Mark and Andrew. Love this!!! My first pregnancy I miscarried twins. I blamed myself but I had a sister who sat me down and gave me a Christian talking to and gave me encouragement, compassion and love. Praise Jesus for helping me thru that difficult time.

My daughter had three miscarriages and she was never able to conceive and today at 50 years old her heart is still tender to the reality. All she ever wanted was to be a wife and mother.....as her mom my heart has ached for her and many tears have been shed, but for what ever reason God had a different plan for her life. Jason, I am so happy that you and your wife have your teenage daughters....GOD IS SO GOOD 🙏❤️🙏 Great interview.....BTW....I have always loved Jason Crabb’s music ❤️

Thank you for this interview. As Momma to four adult sons (38, 37, 36 & 33), I am so so touched & moved to tears. After out first three sons were born-full term, healthy and amazingly good babies. We found out that we were expecting our fourth child. Sadly, I miscarried at what should have been 11 weeks, but was told the baby stopped growing at about 6 weeks. While thoroughly heartbroken, it did not surprise me. There was something (God) telling me that something wasn’t right this time. I miscarried on Tuesday be my sisters wedding on that Saturday. The doctor did not want me to go....600 miles away. As soon as it was all over, with prescriptions in hand....I went. I was fine & felt great. One year later I gave birth to our fourth son...perfect, healthy and an amazing good baby. If I had carried that baby to term, our fourth son would have missed his window of opportunity. (as Mark put it). Our youngest son and I have the closest bond of the four. To this day I still have the thought creep in, wondering if that was my little girl. God always knows best.....after girlfriends, fiancées and daughter-in-laws.....I KNOW why the Lord did not give us girls! 😊 We also have to precious grandsons, ages 12 & 13. Boys....boys....boys! I love my boys! Thank you Lord. 💜💜💜

A wonderful episode with Jason Crabb. I’m 74. We certainly live in a different time than when I was growing up. Each generation has its own set of challenges and benefits. Thank you for another awesome dinner conversation. You’ve got to quit making me cry. I had the worlds best daddy and mama. I wasn’t the best daughter but I think I finally ended up where he would be proud.

A PRAYER FOR VISITORS TO THIS FORUM.
On a balcony of space STEPPED A PURE AND HOLY GOD. IN AWESOME SOLITUDE YOU STOOD ALONE. Not one faint star to give YOU light; just endless darkness, it was blackest night. But somehow in the darkness YOU COULD SEE.
YOU SAW mountains high and lofty, YOU SAW valleys lush and green. YOU SAW babbling brooks, and wildflowers grow, YOU EVEN HEARD a robin sing. Then through YOUR COMPASSION STANDING OUT THERE IN YOUR TOMORROW, YOU SAW forum's visitors. 🥰
YOU SAW them as a sinner because there is no intrinsic righteousness in any of us due to Adam’s sin. YOU SAW them as they grew from a baby into adulthood due to YOUR HANDS OF MERCY. 🥰 YOU SAW them pursuing a career path for the purpose of obtaining the gains of the world not realizing that it is a loss compared to what YOU DID on the cross. YOU SAW them working long and laboring hard to receive the grace by justification even though YOU stated, "This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent."(John 6:29 KJV) YOU SAW the unwillingness to accept YOUR PLAN OF SALVATION THROUGH YOUR SON JESUS CHRIST. YOU SAW them living with the guilt of committing crimes to the heart. YOU SAW them enduring personal crisis. YOU SAW the weight of the burden on their hearts with each tribulation. YOU SAW them seeking comfort from the above mentioned topography, ONE OF THE MANY MARVELS YOUR PERFECT HANDS HAVE MADE. 👏👏👏 YOU SAW their worries about tomorrow.
If their hearts were a window that they could look through, oh the pains and scars they would see. What a cruel fate the skin gives as a mask to the inward pain. But the skin couldn’t cover THE SUFFERING YOUR ONE AND ONLY SON BORED on the cross as PAYMENT for all our sins because HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ALONE HAD THE MERIT TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF YOUR HOLINESS. Indeed, ONLY HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS IS SUFFICIENT TO SAVE us from this present evil world as evidenced by Mary's song of praise. "And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour." (Luke 1:46-47 KJV) Awesome thanks to YOUR GREAT PARDON for being easy on the heart. 🥰
They have seen a lot of crazy things done in YOUR NAME. For example, the father of lies futile attempts to make crooked the right ways of the LORD to turn people away from faith in the WORKS OF JESUS CHRIST ALONE. How can anyone bear the thought of his or her life story detracting from the GLORY AND HONOR KNOWN TO BELONG TO CHRIST ALONE? As a consequence, YOU ARE A MYSTERY OF GREAT MYSTERY to them. Despite this conviction, YOU ARE MINDFUL of them as evidenced by the fact that YOUR JUDGEMENT is not speedy, allowing them to pursue the desires of the flesh.
They are aware of hypocrisy in religious assemblies that like to be seen and heard. In addition, secular education teaches that there is no right and wrong, if GOD exists there is no way of relating to HIM, and moral standards shift according to the whims of fashion. Therefore, their minds are conditioned to question everything this world has to offer including “THY POWER THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE DISPLAYED.” They have accepted the heavy burden of dealing with the troubles of this life and seeks to know another way, YOU THE GREAT COMFORTER TO ALL who did receive YOU as their personal SAVIOR. Still, YOU have shown them NEW MERCY every day with each thought they make and each breath they take.
Unfortunately, like the prodigal son, we are all guilty of wandering far from YOU LORD because the negative experiences of our lives tend to build roadblocks to the TRUTH. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them to identify the way, truth, and eternal life (that is YOU). Since to know and follow your SPIRIT is more exciting than any 007 movie, and YOU DELIGHT MAKING the ordinary into extraordinary. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST MAKE them understand that there is no way around YOUR TRUTH, and that there is something about YOUR NAME. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them defeat in their minds what is false in YOUR EYES.
LORD GUIDE their thoughts to know that the path of sin is hard on their hearts for the purpose of crying out to YOU to know the joy, peace of having the heavy burden LIFTED by THE GOD OF PEACE I AM, and ANCHOR their souls in THE HAVEN OF REST. In other words, LORD use the storms in their lives to get a hold of them to trust YOU and believe. In truth, YOU ARE THE JOY that seekest them through pain.
LORD HELP their fainting hearts to believe that YOU, who was slain on the cross over 2000 years ago has the POWER TO CHANGE lives today through the INSTANTANEOUS GREAT FAVOR from GOD to the house of Israel made known in believers by YOU to make YOUR NAME EVERLASTING. 🥰 For as the statue liberates the citizens so the cross liberates the soul. ONLY YOU can calm the trouble waters of the mind when one admits to wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, JESUS IS LORD, and believes in the heart that GOD RAISED HIM from the dead TO LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt away from the heart in accordance to YOUR WORD found in Psalm 51:1-10 KJV. 👏👏👏👏👏👏 O, the wonder of it all to experience within the flesh the feeling of a tree being cut back/pruned inorder for it to grow stronger and more beautiful after meditating on the words of said Psalm. 🥰🙌
LORD MAKE them know that ONLY YOUR HOLY SPIRIT, through the experience of a new birth within believers, can prevent the family circle from being broken because THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE YOU HAVE GRANTED means a chapter of their lives is decided. Creation sings the rebirth song for them yearly, through YOUR PROMISE of springtime, giving rise to the idea that by the mention of YOUR NAME flowers grow, and the desert blooms again. 🥰
LORD GUIDE their understanding of words to use to come into YOUR PRESENCE with an honest reverence of WHO YOU ARE to experience the beauty that time can't erase YOUR WISDOM resting on their faces. LORD STRENGTHEN their determination to never waiver in efforts to search for YOU because the wages of sin is too high for anyone to pay. Additionally, THE KING OF KINGS is needed in their hearts to learn how to expand their capacity to love for YOU are LOVE in any language. 🥰 Once they learn to speak it with boldness through YOUR WONDERFUL COUNSELING all the world will hear, and know that LOVE is the language of their hearts. So LORD, KEEP KNOCKING on their doors until they let YOU in to know hardships and struggles will end with a GREAT CELEBRATION WITH YOU. 🥰🙌
If one believes faith cannot be forced, YOU WILL GIVE that individual over to the stubborn heart to follow own counsel which will surely fail him or her to the extent that the punishment will last forever found in Psalms 81 NIV. Given this, I pray that YOU WILL MAKE that person see that this feeling is wasted for a world in which we become strangers as we age, gives us thrills instead of peace, aims to solve a problem but creates another, and unrest surges with each passing generation. Shed some light into their broken hearts for YOU ARE THE GREAT JEHOVAH, THE GOD THAT HEALETH thee.
Lastly, LORD when they call on YOU in earnest prayer to come into their hearts to be born again, I pray that YOU WILL GIVE them the blessed assurance of their salvation because nothing breaks YOUR HEART, or tears YOU apart like when they cry from the trials of the devil who comes to slander, falsely accuse, steal, kill & destroy. Only by drawing nearer to YOU LORD will put them on a path to a glorious one way trip winding upward to YOU where pain is not welcome because the heart will never break anymore. For ONLY YOU UNDERSTANDS our tears since YOU LOOK at the heart, while humans look at the flesh.
O LOVE that will not let them go. When they don't have the strength to try, and have cried all they can cry hear their hearts that need YOU more today than yesterday. Many thanks LORD for speaking TRUTH in our lives TO BLESS those who are not offended by THEE. LET YOUR WILL BE DONE because YOUR LOVE ALONE CONQUERS everything by WAITING for them to cease struggling, and finally surrender to YOUR EMBRACE to learn about YOUR LOVE AND PROMISE TO TAKE CARE of your children exquisitely. 🥰 Since... "at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore"... (Psalms 16:11 KJV), and the nail print for them to know YOU by answering the following question. How did CHRIST LOVE people into a relationship with HIM? 🥰

Thanks for sharing this Mark and Andrew. The other take on miscarriage that is not mentioned at all or very little is how the Grandparents feel. I remember when my Son and DIL miscarried their second pregnancy which were twins. I was grieved beyond my understanding. I don't think people realize how Grandparents feel. The last miscarriage was devastating. My heart was removed from my chest. At the time of the loss, I thought I was losing it. There was little help and not much conversation about each loss. But, God is so good and He carried us through it all. I have a total of 5 babies that I've never met waiting in Heaven. My Mama is rocking them somewhere in Heaven - each of them...I'm sure! lol Thanks again for this. Blessings

Jason we will never meet , and I don't know if you will ever see this post, but I know what you are talking about when you said you were just about all done in and hearing a song. mine was a worship chorus called Still by Hillsong. it was a preacher I had never seen before and a church on TV I had never heard of, but when they started singing that song, I was sitting on my bed crying like a baby. and when I first heard the song Gentle Shepard I had just lost my dad to cancer, and that song had the same effect. to this day it is still my favorite Gaither song. I had more miscarriages than I want to remember but am blessed to have two healthy children. I had an overactive immune system that essentially saw my babies as invasive tissue. It took a journey of doctors and treatments to have children. When you have a miscarriage be kind to yourselves and each other. Women have a hormone storm and you both need to grieve.

My wife &I saw Jason in Lufkin, Texas on December12, 2019 and he put on a fabulous show for a full house. We got to talk with him and get photos after the show. He was wonderful to talk with and such a really cool person to get to know during those few minutes. this video is just like the guy we met that night. I had had a stroke in February after Carotid surgery. While recovering, I found an advertisement on my phone for tickets to a Jason Crabb concert. It seemed it was around mid-March........ I bought our tickets on line that very day for what seemed so long away, in time. Anyway we enjoyed Jason and felt like we had known him for a long time. It was great, he was funny and talking about his “girls” at home (wife included) having their kitchen cabinets redone and all the mess he left to them. Great ShowI love him like a son!

    A Dad's story:
In the late 80's my daughter passed at 3 days old. She was born without her brain developing and died from infections. I did what I could to keep my wife and 2 other kids happy but I didn't take care of myself. I just buried my head in the sand and let the pain sink into my heart. Unable to hold a job starting at the time we were told (at the beginning of her 3rd trimester) I just went through the motions of looking for one. The state was kind enough to provide her a temporary plot but a time would come when she may have to be moved.
After her funeral we left the state with one child missing and holes in all of our hearts. We wandered around the country for about a year until we settled down in small town mid-west. Within a year of that the family fell apart and my wife and kids were gone when I came home from work one day. (to this day I have not known where they are).
I stayed put for a few more years but things became unbearable so I set out on my own. Eventually I ended up in the upper-Midwest where I lived for almost 30 years before moving back home (deep south) to care for my aging parents. After dad passed a few years ago, mom and I started looking for my daughters grave so we could put a marker on it and we could go visit a few times a year.
After many calls and many months the state finally admitted they lost her....my heart sunk even deeper. Mom and I got on the phone and started calling all the cemeteries in that area determined we would find her. She went to her room and I went to mine and we started calling. On the FIRST call the man says hold on I'll check my records. He comes back and says she's here with us. I cried for the first time since she passed.
We took the 12 hour ride to meet with the man and after checking my I.D. he left the room. Maybe 15 minutes later her returns with paperwork and tells me "she's right here, the plot is 5000.00 but it says paid in full. I'll take you out to see where she is." He did and she was in an unmarked grave and after a tour of the property I got in my car and went for time alone at her graveside.
Once back in the office he says if you'd like to be buried here we can arrange to have her 'essence' moved to your plot. (essence because after all this time there would have been nothing left.) You see, her grave was close to the road and she had a little girl buried above her plot and a small boy below. Then he says hold on a minute I'll be right back. He comes back in and says, my boss has 3 workers out looking to see if there's enough room between her and the road to put one more grave. Another 20 minutes go by and his boss not only gave him the news that I CAN be buried next to her, and the 5000.00 is no charge.
Since then we have placed a marker with butterflies and a heart with her name, mine is getting ready to be placed next to hers saying "Sam's Dad...together forever"
    Now the why and how'comes…
My faith in God and acceptance of Christ as my own personal Savior, ALLOWED God to bring this life to me knowing how hard it would be but knowing He would see me through it. After a month we received a letter at my moms from the Lion's Club telling us that the cornea of her eyes were used in 2 surgeries to give 2 people sight that had never seen. Because her brain never formed she never felt pain, and like my grave marker says, we'll be together forever.
Am I still heart hurt, of course. I don't get over it but God adjusts my life accordingly.
    Amen!!!

Jason, your girls are so very, very blessed to know that there won't be condemnation towards them, should they falter in life. I wish I could say that about my childhood. You're a real God ‐ like daddy, and you do our Father proud. If more kids enjoyed that type of childhood, we'd be living in a more whole world. I'm a senior citizen, I and still battle with feelings of recriminations that were flung towards me. God sure will say to you one day: "well done, good and faithful servant." Your children are a mission field in itself.

I have watched Mark for many years and I wondered if he had nerves of steel because I would breakdown and nothing for Mark in an emotional way. It is okay. If we have emotional moments it is okay. I understand completely my family carries their feelings around on their sleeves and has had many an emotional moment.

My mom lost her first child, or it actually died just before birth caused by a wrongly administered medication. You can say that the doctor killed the child. In those days people were too frightened and impressed by doctors, and I believe he erased all traces when he realized what he’d done.
Anyway, my mom went home without a baby, the baby room stayed empty. I just lately read what she wrote in her journal and it was so sad to read. I wished I’d had talked to my mom about this, but she’s no longer of this world.
I heard that my dad, he must have been just 23 years old, phoned to his dad and told him he wanted to end his life, he didn’t know how to handle this, it was so hard for him. His dad, living 500 km away, immediately jumped on the train to be with his son.
Later they had 5 children over 6 years, but this never fills in the gap of having given birth to a lifeless perfect baby boy. My mom has lived with guilt because she thought this happened because of something she’d done wrong, as a punishment from God.
Oh how I’d wished I’d talked about this with my parents.

Was sad to know you and your wife and family went through Jason. I lost my Granddaughter at 13. But I've gone through a different type of grief through the years. In order for the state not to place my first three boys into three seperate foster families due to both sides fighting so bad in a bad divorce, I decided I needed to let my boys go . The evening I did that it felt I physically felt something leave my body. Sometimes I feel it was the joy of the Lord. For awhile I left the Lord, but have been back to Him, but have found it difficult to really feel the joy of the Lord. I was wanting my wife, kids with me in the ministry. Thanks for being transparent. Love you guys. Andy Fauth
