Lt Col Dr U S Dinesh is an Army veteran and a recipient of Professor P.N.
Wahi Oration Award and Ernst Fernandes Slide Seminar Award both from
Indian Academy of Cytologists. He has also been awarded Brigadier M.M
Roy Memorial Award from West Bengal Association of Cytologists. An able administrator, he served as Founding Registrar of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University, Dharwad, Karnataka . He is a Past President of KCIAPM, Indian Academy of Cytologist and also is a founding member of Karnataka Chapter of Indian Academy of cytologists.
He is an editor for national and international journals and has mentored many students in the field of pathology. He is currently working as Professor Emeritus at SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Dharwad.
