I was back stage for our country’s panto of Robin Hood, and despite a lot of people disliking it, I had a blast working backstage! I got to help with curtains from the back entrance (we had a staircase that takes us to a higher platform), show signs to the audience (we were sponsored by a sausage company, so when the dame said “I like a good sausage!”, I walked up and show the poster of the sausage company with a foam/paper mache design sausage as well), and during my last show, I helped with the sing along before the finale! I would say one thing- when you work in a panto, don’t get irritated with children in the audience. It IS a nightmare, but also if you want to work with children in the future, then it’s a must! Despite this, what I actually want to be within a production is part of the ensemble, and although I was too old to be one for the show, the ensemble here was mostly primary school and middle school children, and all of them were so lovely to interact with despite working professionally, as a few of them did ballet shows, worked in ads and was apart of some hotel events for Christmas. Despite this, when you are in a panto, no matter if it’s cast, crew or ensemble, the future is quite bright for all of us. Good luck! Hope to hear how it goes!

I won't stand for this Dick and Dom slander. They are legends and were both in Spamalot the musical!
I LOVE SPAMALOT!
I love the Dick and Dom shade! 😂👏👏
I’m so excited for panto this year. What a brilliant cast for my first time working backstage at panto!

How does the pay work. Is it all fairly distributed or does it depend on how good your agent is??
