Updated Advice -- I think the skinness of the Arch used in the video, makes the second pass helpful. If you have a large design, the first pass is probably enough.
Love your bulldog! Have you tried debossing /embossing craft leather, the kind you can get from Michaels? If you have can you link your video? Would love to add design to journal covers using embossing tool on leather.
