Madness wrote this as a response to Pink Floyd's "Another Bick In The Wall" - over here in the UK it's a class thing Floyd having gone to grammar school writing about their middle class (no pun intended) school experiences whereas Madness wrote about their council estate working class comprehensive school experiences. 🤔🎶😎🙌👍
I was once on holiday in the US and we stopped in a bar in the Appalachians. They had a juke box connected to the internet. I downloaded a load of Madness tracks. After a couple of tracks the locals starting getting uneasy. After four or five a fella came from behind the bar and unplugged the juke box from the electricity supply. Not everyone loves Madness.
Oh wow, huge ratings from you guys on this one! It's probably my favourite Madness song tbh, and it definitely does carry that nostalgic school-days vibe that Chuck was talking about. Only one more Madness song to come now. Nice to see you starting to enjoy a couple and I think the final one will continue that trend. Cell to Chuck for being older and understanding the nostalgia, although again I'm amazed Joel is rating all of these higher 😂
Madness are wonderful - their live shows are so much fun and their videos are great! So many hits ... House of Fun, Our House, It Must Be Love - and my personal favourite Shut Up! 😊
Loved Madness and the Specials ...SKA and 2 tone never really took off in the States ...Jamaica and the Caribbean are closer in tastes to the UK than the US ...

@@philtucker9166 You need a sense of humour to appreciate Madness.

Try embarrassment next another banger
They were not ska at this point, they went pop/rock.
