There's a reason why infantry soldiers wear high cut boots, to prevent ankle roll. It also helps if you wear two pairs of socks to cut friction, one thin nylon and one thicker cotton rich. I used to wear the thinner dress socks first under the thicker cotton ones and it helped heaps. Also bring a second set of clean dry socks with you, as your feet sweat you can change them and allow the others to hang dry. Your doing the right thing by challenging yourself and pushing yourself beyond your capabilities, and by going beyond your threshold of pain, your body goes into survival mode and you'll be surprised just how far you can go. If your after a good challenge, try hiking Mt Bogong in Victoria. Start at the base of the mountain at the staircase (end of Mountain Creek Rd.), and make your way to the top. There's a number of huts along the way, don't forget to sign the visitors books and read some of the comments, they'll make you laugh. Don't forget to take a summit tent with you for a spectacular camp atop of Mt Bogong, the views are spectacular along the way. Good luck with your adventures.
Thanks for the tips. We did Mt Bogong years ago it’s been on our list to do again ever since, sadly we didn’t get any views it was covered in fog but remember it as a challenge and being sore after, 🤞we can do it again soon.
Congrats on reaching a 1000 subs guys. Great on you Nae to push through and finish the walk. 14k with 722m elevation is heck of a lot difficult than the stats display.
You too can be the next dead body trail marker, what will we name you? Sleeping beauty and green boots have been taken, remember your body will freeze solid to rocks so keep some sun screen on at all times as your face will leather better as the years go by
Don’t go there. Your ego will spend the money and leave the trash. You are alive now. Don’t you feel it? It’s not some where else. It’s here now. Everest is dangerous. You are alive but you don’t feel it or you wouldn’t go. Going into danger to feel life means something is wrong. It means you obviously aren’t full of life here and now and looking to fill it externally does not work.
Don’t you worry I have no intention of going to Mount Everest this is just a challenge to get fit by walking elevation gain with the added bonus of being outdoors and seeing some of our incredible country.

The look on your face is priceless the hard work will pay off
Thanks that walk had me questioning myself but I have loved the 2 I have done since still with their own challenges but lots of fun.
Well done on finishing walk one and pushing thru hitting the wall and the pain. The scenery was amazing
Thanks for your encouraging comment, next week I actually get to climb it was a really fun walk.
Congratulations, that really was a mighty effort. I felt exhausted watching you on the last leg. Go girl
Hopefully you can feel the benefits too after all that effect 🤣
well done naomi how did your ankle go keep up the good work 😊😊😊😊
Thanks, it still has a bit of fluid on it but other than that it’s fine
And no one is being realistic in comments!
Everyone is being super lovely in the comments think they understand that’s is just a fitness challenge with elevation gain
I'd suggest using some walking poles to help going downhill. May have to hold your camera less though. Good luck with the challenge.
Thanks for your tip and lovely comment
A little tip, get yourself some walking sticks. 😊
It’s a good idea but my hands are already full with filming
Always pushing like you're giving birth to a quadrupled 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣

🤣🤣 good thing it’s a fitness challenge in NSW (Australia) so I don’t have to worry about freezing but will use plenty of sunscreen 😂
And it wouldn’t be even close cause you are not at altitude standing in line waiting while your
Lose heat!
Definitely don’t want to do that, I’m happy with just my elevation gain challenge

Wow, no it won’t! Now if you masked up while doing it well then you would be onto something but this won’t help! You will fail!
I’m challenging myself to the elevation gain to get fit, I’m afraid my lungs couldn’t handle the altitude, definitely not part of my goal or challenge
