So important message! Pride is very subtle hiding behind all of our motivation and self-justification.
My pride is in the person and finished work of Christ alone.
For anyone who might be confused.
Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
God immediately declares you justified and gives you everlasting life as a free gift.
Salvation is absolutely free.
Rewards are worked for!
This is going to be a great series. The pride thing is vexing... seems like it’s almost an inescapable problem 🥺

Despair is the cause of pride. To give a lot to a very despairful person can sometimes over time can possibly turn prideful. For despair

I have to work on this sin. its so deep rooted in me that it uses it against my spirituality. i love the fact you said, pride is the root of the other sins.

So pride could be like this for example you won a football match and you get trophy then u brag about it I like I’m better than u or I’m the champion but your just making a fool of yourself is this what pride is
