Excellent fight. I had Bivol 115-113. The majority of shots landed by Arthur hit gloves causing the bruising on Bivols eye. The majority of clean punches was landed by Bivol. Rematch please.
Beterbiev did nothing for the first 2 minutes of every round then flurried in the last minute. 115-113 seems fair, like you said Beterbiev barely connected cleanly at all those shots all came from Bivol

7-5 either way is legit, this was not a robbery, it was a razor close fight, I gave it to Beterbiev, yes Bivol got the better start but Beterbiev finished better, it's that close.
I had 115-114 Bivol but can't really argue with you. It was close and an easy fight to score differently.

I bet on Beterbiev, but I did think Bivol had won - also 115-113. The biggest shame was a warlord entering the ring to congratulate Beterbiev.
I had £150 on bivol to win, but then I just thought about Eddie Hearn. The fight was worth the money anyway it’s a historic fight.

I can see why the judges have given it to Beterbiev, he was stalking Bivol from round 4 onwards, it was relentless pressure, and some judges prefer pressure over landing pot shots and running away, then landing more pot shots and getting back on his bike. I personally thought Bivol just edged it, but it definitely weren't a robbery

I scored it a draw, but Artur was winning his rounds more convincingly.
I had it 6/3 at one point, but Bivol lost the last 3 clearly.
If anyone deserved to win, it was Beterbiev.

You have absolutely no knowledge or authority to score anything. Most pundits and professionals have Bivol winning so case closed as far as I'm concerned.
I thought Beterbievs best rounds were more dominant. Bivol was was hanging on for life towards the end. Bivol looked good in flashes, but his shots seemingly had little effect. I think the judges scored for effective aggression overall. Might look different watching it a second time.

It is not about the effect of the shots. It is about scoring most clean shots.

@@bjornbjorn8235 actually, in pro boxing, it IS about the effect of the shots as well. they contribute to effective aggression. 1 punch that does visible damage counts more than 3 jabs that do nothing. Beterbiev's aggression was effective because Bivol was breaking down. 1-2 rounds more and Bivol would have been taken out of there.

Close fights can't be called roberies. It could've gone either way. Beterbiev was the agressor in this fight. He dealt more damage, applied more pressure and was less shook than Bivol. Bivol threw far more clean shots and was able to display great defense at times. The majority of replays were highlights of Bivol even though Beterbiev in the 11th and rounds before, threw far more destructive punches towards the face and especially the body (which were simply not shown to the audience). The 116-112 was unfair though. Both stats given by CompuBox and TnT also showed that Beterbiev edged out the rest of the rounds, punching more, landing more (powershots included) and going off in the Championship Rounds and they're called that for a reason. Either way I want a rematch asap.

Bivol fought the perfect fight whilst being on the back foot, beterbievs aggression made the judges think he won but I had bivol winning it.
Whittaker's too weak , thats the bottom line. You can have as much skill as you like but if you can't hurt your opponent they'll just keep coming at you until they hurt you.

Walking forward hitting gloves isn't winning rounds while the other guy is landing at 50% clip tells you the story of the fight. Bivol jab and movement was all world

A Great night spoilt by 2 guy's, 1 was the acrobat who flipped out at the end of round 5 the other was an over Egg sited Connor Benn who jumped in the ring looking like an extra from Grease .

As soon as you use the words "did enough" then it is obvious you know why he lost, he could have done more and he survived the last 2 which is where he lost it, Beterbievs corner saying you need a knockout was the right encouragement to go out giving it all. Bivols corner thinking they had it in the bag means he shelled up and lost it, but if he had opened up he probably would have got stopped.
That's exactly it-those moments may have been eye-catching, but the constant pressure and superior ring generalship were very much in Beterbiev's favour throughout.
His ability to dictate the pace and control the fight were undeniable, far outweighing any flashy moments from the other side.
Froch is the only person in the mainstream who tells the truth
If those fights were in the UK you would have had a bigger crowd response, but that aside the fights were great and controversial which I love!
The funniest thing I've ever seen in a boxing event was when the winner of a "G wagon" came out to get her prize, if you guys didn't see it or haven't watched it on here you really should, it was absolute comedy gold won't spoil it for anyone but watch it 😅

Fights aren't supposed to be scored on facial damage. Some fighters mark-up easier than others. If Beterbiev had the facial damage you wouldn't be making an issue of it.

Omg thank you for saying it. These Saudi fights are awkward. I love the fact that they got into boxing to make these monumental fights happen but I feel they would be much better serve to host these in London or Vegas. All the Saudi fights feel so forced and the crowds just are not boxing crowds. It feels like these matches depend solely on the TV audience but yes boxing needs the crowd so needs to be hosted in the places where boxing lives and right now that is London and Vegas and maybe even New York City

I had Bivol by 2 maybe 3 rounds, didnt even think it was that hard to score, Beterbiev had alot of pressure but Bivol landed cleaner better shots throughout, deffo had a few rounds off.
Close fight, but Bivol was curling up in the last few rounds. Right decision in the end.

So proud of Fabio. What a man. Bivol fought the wrong fight and you see that in the later rounds. Backing up a bit too much, quick bursts then quickly moving, doing that you will start to slow and it got to a point there he was standing flat with a high guard just taking punishment. He should’ve slowed himself down early on and just countered heavy to make Beterbiev a little hesitant to throw rather than constantly being on his bike. Close enough to call it either way so I don’t think it was a robbery but playing the hit and run game with Beterbiev is a bad idea.
If he fought any other way he would have been knocked out, he did what he does and boxed to the best of his ability against a machine - and should have won. Saying don’t go backwards against beterbiev is dumb, you don’t have a choice.

Beterbiev was really stunning Bivol with the body shots and even shots on the guard. He’d hit him and Bivol would stand still looking a bit dazed. Bivol landed very cleanly but Beterbiev just kept pushing forward. Beterbiev should’ve been throwing as Bivol was throwing and pick good shots while doing so because Bivol will keep a high guard or just move
To be honest it is subjective, if you like the come forward fighter then You could see how Bivol didn’t get the decision. I personally thought it was very tight and a draw would have been a fairer decision. But on the plus side we may get to see it again. Also when Andre Ward won on points against the Cobra you could make a case for the scoring to be closer, but again it’s subjective. 🥊🥊🥊
I thought those final rounds Beterbiev was starting to pull away with that constant pressure and heavy jab was starting to bust Bivol up. The aggressor is normally favoured and that was Beterbiev so no problem with the scorecards

Bivol clearly won 7 or 8 rounds. People talk about Beterbiev's aggression, but for the most part it wasn't effective aggression. Yes he was charging forward but he was throwing a LOT of punches that Bivol was blocking or making him miss (therefore you score for defence), whilst also landing all of the eye catching punches/combos.
