    I like how he mentioned the example of the woman who just gave birth. Is she really expected to have sex right after all of that as a duty to the husband? No. I Corinthians 13:4-5 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil.

    Porn is evil!

    That Prager clip is unbelievable and nonsensical. Adultery is something that is chosen over a spouse. If a person is choosing porn over adultery, they're choosing the porn over their spouse.

      Yes! I would argue that porn absolutely is a form of adultery.

      He argued this way because it has come out that he himself (Dennis) has a porn problem

    Yet another reason to not follow Dennis Prager. He's not a Christian, after all.

    Wow I am so thankful you had him on your show!
    I can “relate” so much with this, as I’m sure a lot of women do. I can’t tell you how many times I had sex with my husband because I was afraid he would watch porn. It was a horrible fear and worry I had. I worried about that my whole pregnancy with my second child because during that time of no sex with my first child my husband watched porn. I would bring it up so much and I remember having her and being exhausted and still forcing myself to “please” him so he wouldn’t. God revealed to me that I need to let that go. If he chooses to sin, he’s sinning against God not me. That I can’t “control” any choice my husband makes. It’s not my fault if he does or even doesn’t watch porn.
    I also love how he clarified that verse because I’ve heard that used as a verse to guilt trip or manipulate a wife to sex whenever her husband wanted it. I read a Christian book called “Created to be a his Help Meet” or something like that, which promotes this way of thinking. That if a wife doesn’t have sex with her husband whenever he wants then it’s her fault if he commits adultery.

      Don't settle for him. It's never too late to leave. If he knows you don't want him looking at it but he does it anyway then you deserve better. You deserve more as his wife, than to be in competition with a bunch of other (virtual) women.

      @@Hedwig-gj2di He hasn’t watched porn in about 4 years. Glory to God. I just wanted to state my testimony, definitely wasn’t trying to bash my husband. We all have our sins and he surrendered his over to God. As anyone can overcome sin by leaning on God. He’s a wonderful husband and I’m so thankful he is mine and I am his 😊🙏🏽

    It's more than just a mutual engagement. Everytime you partake in the marital act each spouse should be concerned more about then others pleasure because of their love for them. This is the same thing when it comes to keeping God's commandments. Do you keep them to become saved or because you are save and love your savior. Great job with this one, i wish more were talking about it for sake of those who suffer from it.

    Relateabro here, love the show. That said, the Dennis Prager clip is taken entirely out of important context here. I realize this episode may have been filmed a while ago, but Dennis put out a video weeks ago responding to people's criticism and misinterpretation of that clip...Here is the context;
    Jordan Peterson asked Dennis about the effects of pornography on men. Dennis roundly rebuked porn, but followed that up with a complicated anecdote ; He told the story of a man whose wife developed dementia at a relatively young age. They were not able to carry on a sexual relationship, but the husband did not leave her or cheat on her. In that complicated scenario, Dennis said it would be better for the man to watch porn than to seek extra-marital gratification. He didn't say it was right, or necessary, or somehow not a sin. His point was that it was the less-worse of a lose-lose situation.
    Dennis's comment that "men want variety" was not part of this answer. That was the ending of an answer to a separate question. There were multiple men around the table Dennis was speaking too. He's answering multiple questions at once-- but this clip makes it seem like he is making an isolated statement.

    Having made it through both episodes, I've figured out what's bothering me about Benji's position because I don't disagree with him on any point. Maybe he doesn't mean to, but he keeps implying a critical theory lense of 'this is all men's fault and always oppresses women' when it's obvious that some women who create this content are not coerced and are responsible for their own actions or that men who are unwillingly exposed at a young age and become addicted might be victims in any way. He even admits that a significant percentage of consumers are women now, so not sure why that is.

    I lost respect for Dennis Prager after his discussion with porn with Pintas Aquintas. I didn't know he said that again on a different podcast. Yeah that man is for sure a pervert and looking at things in his house. I don't even want to know what that man is involved in.

    If Benji is against coercion, then he should be against taxation. Conservative morality seems to start with using coercion in order to fund the violent defense of their morality.

    I don't think pornography should be banned. It can help some people's sex life. However, I do think it should be a controlled substance, like alcohol, not plastered all over social media, saturating the crap out of people's brains.

      This idea that we have to watch others have sex to improve our sex life is so weird to me. Sex is the most intimate thing we do. This connection is deepened by our mutual submission, love, and respect for each other over years and decades. Slowly and patiently, and purposefully unfolding ourselves for our spouse so that we may meld more completely as the years pass…. The idea we need to watch others doing it to “help” shows a disordered relationship with sex. The only way one can think that is if one is looking at sex as purely carnal - rather than as seeing the carnal as an offshoot of a deepened spiritual connection. If it’s a natural connection between husband and wife, no voyeurism is necessary. If it’s just carnal, maybe then you could make the case for porn “helping” - but is that really the kind of sex we want to advocate?
