Can you please add a link to the water sensor you used? Thanks!

Oops. Should have added that. Here is the single pack: amzn.to/4ibBIj5 and three pack: amzn.to/3YYZl5
I will add them to the video description. Thanks for reminding me!

Can it be connected to Home Assistant and work routinely with other devices such as Heiman ZigBee gas and smoke leak sensors and some Sonoff ZigBee water leak detector products?

As @BenCos2018 said, yes. You can connect it via an Aqara Hub to Home Assistant. I acutally show it in the video.

Hello Do we need to buy the aqara hub ? or will it work with apple homehub(Apple tv) ?

    • @ThisSmartHouse

I don't think the Apple TV supports Zigbee, which is the protocol for this device. You would need either an Aqara hub or another compatible Zigbee hub.
But if you do want to control it from HomeKit, you could get an Aqara Hub (M2 or M3) and then connect it to HomeKit via Matter.

The problem here is the reliance on leak sensors. A good shut off valve installs between the shut off and the line and detects leaks automatically and shuts off automatically. I’m not sure the cost of this, but it may be more economical to install one of those than this plus sensors.

I actually covered that at the tail end of the video. Those systems are typically many times more expensive than just a simple shut off valve and sensors. I have used a few of those and they're great except for their detecting leaks based on usage patterns. So if there's a leak you still have to have a certain amount of water outside of your normal usage before it'll actually shut down the water supply. Whereas leak sensor would detect any amount of water and instantly shut down.
I actually like having both but even in my house that has a inline meter and shut off valve I still have a number of sensors.
