  • Bowyer Erik Hoff walks us through his line of Traditional Longbows. Erik dives deep into his longbow designs. Throughout this interview and the testing of his bows I can clearly see his technical capabilities and his love of the Traditional Archery Community actualize in his bows.
Please forgive the lighting in the first few minutes. We had some harsh lighting variation as the sun was shining through the trees.

I had a Hill sentential with a dished grip, that I found put to much d shock in the web of my hand.
I much prefer the straight grip.
I have been a straight limb bow guy for 30 years.
We are always looking for another bow that has superior performance.
    Thanks 😊
My personal favorite so far was a Jack Harrison Black Wolf.

Was looking at his bows today. Liked the Minnesota. Hopefully order one by next season.

The dynamic fulcrum is that balance point Eric is talking about.

Loved it. I hope he comes up with Swift Styk limbs for ILF bows. Wouldn't that be something?! Keep up the good work!

Great Job, would love to hear more interviews with different bowyers. I find some of the things bowyers point out fascinating.
The idea of circles in the Swift Styk was interesting. And I would love to hear more about cores in ASL's. Was he talking about the thickness of the tapers in the laminations? Does each laminations taper differently?

You will have to reach out to him. He went to the deep water and I was just holding on.

CODY: HOW DO WE ACCESS ALL THAT TRADLAB TESTING YOU HAD ON YOUR WEBSITE BEFORE YOU WENT TO DOING UA-cam ONLY? That is the most valuable information on trad archery testing that has ever been done, and it really let us know what is out there and how it performed. Is there a way to get all that data from you ?? Jeff.
P.S I shoot Centaur Triple Carbon Elite #59@31, and I have 3 Toelke bows: 2 66 inches one at #48 and the other at #53, and the 3rd is a Whistler #52. Thanks.

The dynamic fulcrum the balance point arrow launch is the tiller target.

Any chance you’ll do Great Plains Bows for a Behind the Bow episode?

Is the Minnesota stick or ASL smoother to draw at 50pounds. I have just over 26 in. Draw. 64in compares to 68.

Smoothness and forgivnes = Accuracy! Speed is not even interesting
