I just played this for my wife of 10 years. Her reaction? "That is not you! You never sound like that." I guess my voice has changed a lot in the past 29 years. I was only 26 when I voiced this. Where did the years go?
Military members in this video: SP5 Ron Alvarez (USA), Sgt. Eudith Rodney (USMC), Sgt. Norma Robertson (USMC), JO1 Ed Fryer (USN), Sgt. Bill Endrom (USAF), Cpl. Bruce Barnett (USMC), GySgt. Terry Nummer (USMC), & SSgt. John Kitchen (USMC). Voice-overs by SrA. Bob Walker (USAF) & Sgt. Bob Wiley (USMC).
Thanks for posting this. I lived behind the FEN building in Plaza late 70s and early 80s as a military dependent. Thanks for bringing back the memories
The times when TV was the main source of information... I guess these channels for American troops stationed abroad were a mix of programs from all American networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, etc...) I don't know if these stations for US military bases abroad still exist, now that we have streaming services and VPNs. And this specific Star Spangled Banner sign off clip aired on the US mainland with another audio recording. (I'm not American and I don't know how I ended up here, maybe because I like seeing sign-offs and closedowns)

Not a bad version of the SSB, but this video should only ever be played with the Moog...The Moog is a classic signoff...
I stayed at the building shown at 2:41 during my most recent holiday to Japan.
