- This video will get you started making your own deer hunting points and recover more deer. Primitive hunting is tough, so don't make it tougher than it has to be.

Even tho this video is years away from the videos you reference, the same passion and pride and PATIENCE is evident. You are a natural born teacher, and I thank you for igniting my interest and supplying me with my 1st set of tools and rock. It's your fault I'm a rockhead now 🤣
I have an old arrowhead that belonged to my grandfather from Southeast Alabama. I had noticed years ago that it had a pinkish color to it and until recently did I realized that it was from heat treating.
I just got 2 arrowheads from Ryan because I haven’t had enough time to make as many arrowheads/arrows as I’d like to for this hunting season. And man oh man these are the sharpest little razor points I’ve personally have ever seen. This guy really knows what he’s doing. I have no doubt with a good arrow to point transition and a nice bow these guys will definitely go through both lungs and out the back of a deer with ease. Can’t wait to slam my first primitive buck this year.
Hey Ryan! Love the direction you are taking the channel in. It’s a great way to get into primitive hunting, crafting and archery. Keep up the inspiration!🏹🦌
Thank you for all the amazing instruction you provide on this channel! I picked up one of your knapping kits a while back and was making usable points in less than a month of practice. Not trying to toot my own horn at all, it's just a testament to how your content helps folks blast through the learning curve. Keep up the great work!
That's great positive feedback! thank you very much and have fun knapping!
Hope Ryan sees this, I'm doing great for my second year! I've really started making super nice points, getting ready to get into bow making for this deer season!
Another great one Ryan. Thank you!
Awesome video. Expand your range by sharing video of "this " one doing work.
Making flint points would be great if your state allowed it. Most states would consider them barbed point's.
Then there's the possession of feathers,... where some states they will take all of your guns, 4 wheeler's and hunting equipment.
I love this content keep it up
Your points are so beautiful! I bought some pretty jasper that I was wanting to knapp into a set of points but after countless beer bottle point attempts, I see the best justice I can do for those stones is to leave them how they are. Hahaha
😃😃😃greetings everyone.lovely video.thanks alot.i am learning alot sir
excellent explanation regarding the differences between stone and steel at the end. Of course everything up to that point was done great as well :D
I would say keep it up, but it's redundant, I know u will :D
Great video guy very informative thanks so much for sharing im not good at knapping from rocks or spalls yet i Knapp from preshaped preforms i still have trouble thinning if i get you a few preforms would you make a video making a arrowhead when you have time maybe this spring or summer just if you had time
Ryan have you ever made a levallois point with no serrations? They never come out too symmetrical but they sure do look strong and sharp.
Thanks for the inspiration Ryan. What poundage bows are you typically using these points on say a whitetail.
have you tried european chisel shaped arrowheads ? i think you will be shocked at how they do compared to triangular points, there is a very good reason the mesolithic hunters used them on large game
My stepson got me a kit never made any thing been watching your videos I would like to get sum Xtra material what should I start with being it new to me
Can you put a primitive weight behind the stone point?
What length are you making the points?
Great, great video Ryan. Just the right information, just the right length. Thank you for your dedication to helping us!

What is the best kind of target to shoot at with a stone point, one which won't destroy your edges? Haybale? Foam? I suppose it could be touched up before hunting?
I shoot at a big bag of moss from lowes. It's heavy and thick. None of my points have broke on it but I have had to re attach a few.
Hey wers your link to your store
👍
I wanna see you do this with glass.😂
Do you make all of the items you sell on your website?
Yes, everything except the moccasins, but all the bows, arrows, atlalts, points knives, etc are made by me
I bought one of your knives not long ago just wondered.@@huntprimitive9918
Can you heat treat quartzite
No, unfortunately it does not improve with heat.
All the points I make with it are really thick
Jesus love u
