Yeah, I agree that there is a problem with the sexualizing of these characters, it makes watching content very difficult, especially if you are not into that kind of stuff at all. Btw, the reactions are amazing, my favorite one was 36:15 "bro is excited" delivered so deadpan.

I hope the fans realize that catnap is canonically SEVEN YEARS OLD.
Not that I'm defending them, but do you realize that in universe, there is two different verisons of Catnap.
The Catnap that is the Character/Mascot on the in universe brand and the Catnap that is the monster toy that used to be human.
Who's to say the fan stories are using the Mascot versions rather than the Monster versions of the characters.

7:54 playing devils advocate a bit, there are pieces of media that play the whole, “I wish I could’ve saved the bad guy” card and do it a lot worse than this. There’s this one hero from a comic series who, as quoted from another character (or my best memory of what they said) “Keeps letting bad guys get away” and in turn, “Keeps letting them make mistakes.” He lets a robot get away and in turn that robot finding it’s creator causes a domino affect that causes almost the whole world to be thrown into a zombie-esque apocalypse, they give people like the robot’s creator and his temporary “assistant” second chances, which seems to just lead to more people getting hurt. Some people might know where I’m going with this, but I’m referring to IDW Sonic, and while yes, I did just quote a character who’s technically a bad guy, a lot of people say Sonic’s ideology of letting bad guys have a chance to change and stuff, while noble at first, starts becoming questionable after a certain amount of chances. Now if we take this scene of Dogday wishing he could’ve saved Catnap into consideration, one could argue that this is him still having had hope that things between him and the cat could’ve gone back to the way it was, sense some seem to think they might’ve been friends before a certain incident. Just saying, it’s much easier for me to believe Dogday wishes they could’ve saved someone who might’ve been a close friend at some point than it is for me to believe Sonic just let’s people go constantly expecting them to change eventually. (Not to bash on the sonic series that is, I fucking love that series.) Plus multiple years in playcare or whatever would make anyone long for days past, even if they can’t be perfectly replicated anymore.

Wait genuine question here: if you were against the art in the thumbnails and it’s content, why did you subscribe to his channel in the first place? And I’m going off of your explanation, as his thumbnails weren’t different at the start of the video so you were fully aware of what art was on the thumbnails of his videos and the content that was in them. It is kinda hard to tell if you don’t care or are against this type of content because subscribing is an action that actively supports his channel that isn’t required to properly criticise it.
(Also apologies if I was a bit too rude or critical in this comment as I don’t normally discuss awkward content like this)
I explained in the video that even tho I wasn't a fan of his content, I subscribed to him bc his content took effort to make, the thumbnails look like they took a lot of time and voice acting isn't as easy as people say, so I respect him, but I don't have to like him (why do you think the notifications were turned off?)
